Steph and I recently returned from the Viking Venus 'Into the Midnight Sun' cruise. It was a fantastic time. Incredible food, great scenery, great ports, great crew, and the weather was uncharacteristically nice in almost every port.

There was one smoking area on the ship, on the top deck. It was covered and sheltered, but open to the air on two sides. So if the wind was cooperative it made for a nice smoking experience.

Here's us several hundred miles above the Arctic Circle at exactly midnight:

Great Post, James!:D:tu. Going On A Princess Cruise In October To The Panama Canal. Just Found Out You Can't Smoke On The Balcony Anymore. No Cigar Lounge, And There Is One Floor Designated For Smokers.:hn. You Can Still Smoke In The Casino, I Think.

Nice; are you doing a full or partial transit? We did a partial back in 2017 but have yet to do a full.

Most cruise lines banned balcony smoking quite a while back. It's nice to be able to have a lounge on a ship, but the casino will do in a pinch. I just don't like fighting all of the cigarette smoke.
