Exactly! If it was like 1/128th of an inch off in any direction it would have hit post or crossbar.

Montreal looking to play spoiler for the second round in a row. I'm ok with that at this point (sorry Johnny).

Vegas strikes fast twice late to keep the Avs from taking a stranglehold.

Just a lot of great hockey going on right now.

The AVS losing leads is causing me blood pressure issues. Backs against the wall.

Tom the jets do what the jets do it sucks but this year watching playoff hockey I’m just happy for playoff hockey.

I miss that this was the year I could have gotten Derrick with the jets over oilers but he’s looking down and he knows :) miss you brother!!

Now we will see how the nhl handles border crossing and Canada still in lockdown. It has already been an issue with fans in stands since they haven’t opened the normal part of life but nhl gets special dispensation

icehog3 06-09-2021 09:12 AM

Re: Nhl-2021

Sorry about the Jets, Johnny, #55 sure didn't help matters much.

Canada has awarded special dispensation, so looks like there will be games in Montreal.

Still rooting for the Avs, E.J., they need to break serve Thursday.

Bruins up against it tonight, hoping to see a Game 7 in that series as well.

What a total collapse by the AVS. Super talented and young, hope they learn and bring it next year.

F*ck RASK. It’s Swayman time to shine as the starting goaltender of the Bruins.

I guess I'm rooting for the Lightning now.

Sorry to see the Avs eliminated. Vegas looks unstoppable right now, I hope Montreal can slow them down a bit.

Also sorry to see Boston go. I do like the Islanders, but that Perfection Line.....

What I want to see now: Islanders V Canadiens in the Final

What I fully expect to see: Lightning V. Golden Showers in the Final

Rask is a perfect example of statistics not telling the whole story. On paper he's one of the best playoff goalies in Bruins history. In reality, however...

The Habs appear to have something going......

I'm with Tom, I would not mind a Montreal vs NYI, but being a West guy, still cheering for Vegas(who if there is such a thing, is my 2nd team).

Just a couple guys on Vegas who really rub me the wrong way, starting with Ryan Reaves.

I'd do my best Larry Merchant....but make it 5 years instead of 50.

If Vegas loses the series, Fleury's going to spend the summer kicking his own ass.

That was quite the faux pas, and with less than 2 minutes left in regulation. I was dumbfounded when it happened. Nice OT GWG by Anderson though, that one was no fluke.

Hoping the Islanders can tie up the Tampons tonight.

Crazy finish in Long Island. That buzzer-beating d-man save was incredible.

Rooting for Vegas vs. Tampa. Sorry Tom, but I like Reaves for some reason.

I can't root for Canada. This is America! :tu

And let's face it... there is nothing good about the state of New York. Tampa has Ybor City...

Outstanding!! Was it Pelech or Pullock? Or Pillock or Polock? :D

Good chance you will get your wish, Dan, either Montreal or NYI winning their series would be an upset.

But just think, if Reaves gets eliminated now, that's all the sooner I can fight him. ;) :r

P.S......Canada IS in America. :D

Watched TB / NY at a bar here in Tampa the sport does have a solid following here … more than their baseball team has, go figure.

Except for some sloppiness here and there that was a pretty dominating performance from TB.

Tampons got the Canadiens a little bloody.

I know it's only Game 1, but I don't dig the matchup for the Habs.

Maybe with them riding an NHL record 14 game penalty killing streak (and their propensity to score short handed goals), they should ask the league to play Game 2 5 on 4 all game. :D

Stamkos had a PP goal last night late in the third, ending Montreal's streak.

Was that goal number 5, James? I totally spaced that. Disregard my suggestion to the league. :D

Yeah, it was the fifth. Tampa put five forwards out. They really wanted to break Montreal's streak.

That's right, weren't they p*ssed about the penalty as well?

I am hoping for a better result tonight, but not very confident.

You're not kidding! If Montreal doesn't come up with something new, Tampa could easily sweep.

And I'd be lying if I said I had a lot of confidence in the Habs right now, Joe...and great to "see" you!

They beat the odds in Rounds 1, 2 & 3.... I will hold out hope until about 9PM CST tomorrow. ;) :D

Montreal just has no answer to Tampa as yet. I never thought the finals would be a sweep, but with the way both teams are playing...

I think Tampon should forfeit Game 5 if that happens. Best play Games 6 AND 7 in Montreal just to be safe.
