Holy crap. What an episode! I can't believe Opie is gone. He was a great character. Gotta love Tara's line about killing Gemma "No, but my husband might" :r

Even though Jemma was raped and I felt sorry for her, but she has turned into a real spiteful bee-yotch. At least she was put in her place by Tara.

Wow, im floored. When I saw the way it was unfolding, I knew itw as going to be opie. I didnt want it to be, mainly cause his character was quiet yet when he was in the mix, he brought a great dynamic.

Heres my theory on that... jax didnt want to make the choice.. when the choice was made, did i see it right, jax jumped at the guard first and opie got between them and took the shot instead, like he always for jax. My thought is jax knew opie would react that way, and i think he planned it that way. Only reason for that is that he knew if Opie rejoined the table at church, he would go against jax on many things and jax needed someone in his pocket (aka tig now). I mean when jax explained the kill clay vs save the club and opie said jax made the wrong choice.

I think you nailed it. I kept thinking there was no way he could pick Opie. This is the genious of Jax, though. He is smart and is pretty good at staying one move ahead.

Tig is going to die.

wonder if that guard has a family and if Jax is willing to green light his wife and kids in the next couple weeks seems like this season is going to be very dark

yeah, good question.

The writers have been watching Breaking Bad, I think. Jax is wrestling with trying to get the club out of running guns (the end goal) and also protecting his club and family. I suspect he is going to take out the guard and send a message to the rest of the guards that if you mess with the Sons... they will mess with you.

Jax is starting to believe it would be better to sacrifice a few for the betterment of the whole.

Good stuff. Actually, I am rethinking my last agreement/comment that Jax "allowed" Opie to volunteer for the pipe by manipulating him.

Yes it was. I felt it was a fitting tribute to a very interesting character. That song playing during the wake was haunting.
It will be interesting to see how they get out from under Pope's finger.
And just when I thought that Tara had supplanted Jemma, Jemma gets her to do her dirty work. That's an interesting power struggle.

Thanks guys on the props for my analysis but after readying the link Jon posted, i started second guessing myself, that it was purely opie just acting on his own.

Here is an interesting story about Clay

"When we hit the reset button for Clay, there was a million different directions that his journey could have gone,” the actor tells THR.

Note to self. When a new character presents themselves, seems to be a "good" person... they will die. Just a matter of time.

Jax displayed a higher notch of his murderous persona. The revenge killing of the guard was expected. However, the fact that he was ok with the killing of the guard's wife... that was more than we were used to, IMHO.

Nice twist on the nomads and how Clay stabbed them in the back. I also thought it was bold of clay to, apparently, hire "black" to go after Jax. (It took me a minute to figure out the best way to write that.)

Jemma is a mess. And, I actually thought the ending was pretty forced.

Definitely a great episode, Dan.

Jax has become a cold blooded killer....did you see the looks on Chibs and Bobby's faces when he executed the drive-by driver?

Juice is in a world of sh!t, owned by Clay, known by the sheriff.

That was awesome. He looked like he was going to hug the guy, then boom! 2 shots in the gut.

I agree Juice will be killed off soon.
