Good grief.
CI (Cigars International) was only explicitly mentioned 2 or 3 times in this thread. But let's not tell anyone else who asks.

LOL...............na, your good. If he had to ask where to get them, then you didn't likely give him to many clues.

But what is the fun in that? I thought we were supposed to read only the first and last posts of the thread? Danged rules. :r

I went to CI today and I didn't see any of them around. I asked one of the salesmen and he said they sold them all to an online buyer :r

For the record, I read the thread and understood CI was the source before I posted. What I was wondering about was some of the quantities and pricing some of the brothers were mentioning that I could not find on ci or cigars or the devils site. I was just asking if there was something else I was missing.

I don't have enough cash to buy the smokes I want but if I had more than enough I would hire a personal assistant to hunt stuff down for me!

Re: Est. 1844

My email today...:sad
I may have worn out my welcome with CI.:D

Thank you for being a CigarBid customer! Unfortunately, the Est. 1844 Anejado No. 50 are out of stock. We are working closely with the manufacturer to resolve this. We will continue to keep the item on backorder for you if you’d like, substitute a comparable item, or we can cancel it from your order altogether. At this time, we do not have an estimated time of arrival for this product.

Backorders can happen for a few reasons. In some of these cases, inventory is miscounted or misrepresented because the item we had in stock was damaged or used to replace another customer’s order that was damaged or lost.

You were originally charged for the lots won and then you were refunded as soon as we realized that we were not going to be able to ship the item to you. You will not be charged again until the backorder is in stock and ready to ship out. We can send a replacement- perhaps a different size at the same won price. We can also cancel the backorder if that is better for you. If you choose to wait, you will know your shipment has left our Warehouse when you receive your email confirmation with your tracking numbers. Please reply by 4/20/12. If we do not hear from you the order will be cancelled.

Thank you for your patience! Please let us know if there is anything we can assist you with in the future.

Thank you,

Damarie

Customer Service

I will take a different size if possible but I wonder why they can get one size but not the other...I think I will get the same response or all sizes will show up.

I also gave two other substitution offers which both are greater value (by chance), we will see how there customer service is.

They were selling boxes of 50's long after I won this particular auction and continue to sell fivers....what gives? If I'm out of something I would quit offering it and how are thy getting them fivers if there are no boxes available?
I think they are breaking down what boxes they have to make a higher yield of greenbacks.
They have done a few weird things now too me....I won a couple cigar fest posters, They said they were out and no longer (or ever) available then only wanted to credit me one dollar for the item. The second poster I won was deleted from my order before shipping and never received. Dunno.

Being that all sizes show they are on backorder, I'd imagine they will tell you they are out of everything....:2

About the fivers, there must be open boxes or something.

Email them back and tell them you will take a box amount of singles since there is no "boxes" left.

What shortage? There's new lots almost everyday. Prices seem to be going up slightly which is the intent I'm sure. Looks a bit fishy to me. Unless they get a bunch in bulk and some in boxes.

Keep in mind CI is the only source for these. The can have a monopoly pretty easily and manipulate pricing any time they want.

I'm not worried. If price goes up and I still love them....I guess I pay more for them. Don't know what else to say.

I'm really wanting some 60's-guess I'll just have to backorder them from cigar.com. Seems like they're not posting any more on cbid.

Decided to snag a couple 5ers of the 58's for the $13 under the quick buy. 10 @ $2.60 each is a better deal than buying the retail price and 5ers often go for the $13 or more for any of the sizes.
