I have to stay off the site most of the time.
I can't always justify $300 on cigars, but I can always justify $3, 100 times.
That's what makes Cbid dangerous for me!

Yup. im with you. Have been seriously thinking about buying a box of undercrowns, but just cant justify the spending right now... signed up for Cbid yesterday and have already won 3 auctions, all fivers, all for about 15 bucks. and with the rest of the things I bid on I have bid more than that box of U-Crowns was gonna be.... I see things and say to myself "Thats a great deal! UHC's for 2.50 a piece? Cant pass that up."

F me, I have no self control...

I remeber I was fishing on a Sunday afternoon with a buddy, smoking a cigar and drinking a beer when I was interupted by a phone call from my wife asking "Did you spend any money I don't know about, we don't have enough to cover the morgage this month for some strange reason?". That's when I hit rock bottom!

When I first started, it was rough getting money together yadda yadda yadda.. Now that I have a job (one based around cigars no less) I have been burning through money like crazy. I am looking into coolers already. It's bad. I have a full screen (16 apps on android) worth of cigar related apps.

Mentioning other forums is fine. (We reserve the right to intentionally misspell one of them)
Mentioning CC vendors is not.

5bux per. I'm happy with that. The empty tins alone will give my kids more enjoyment than that, And I will just have to do the right dad thing and empty them tins for 'em.:D

Re: Cigar Bid

To save yourself on shipping costs, sign up for the once a week shipping. Opens up a lot more lots to bid on if you're trying to limit it to one invoice. :ss

I still buy from cbid, but a lot less frequently than when I started smoking cigars. There are so many retailers that offer so many different specials, I often find better deals on a lot of cigars elsewhere (Holt's has some really nice e-mail specials, for anyone interested in signing up for their e-mail list).

Taki, make sure you call customer service first and confirm they still ship their humidors out of PA and that you'll be able to pick it up. I bought my end table humidor this way about 3-4 years ago and was able to pick it up, but IIRC I was told by a BOTL here (AD720 maybe?) that they no longer ship humidors from their PA location, but from Florida.

If you can pick it up in PA, make sure you open it for inspection when you're loading it off the dock. The first one they brought me was damaged and they had to grab another one from the warehouse.

Dude! You work in a cigar shop, what could you possibly be ordering from the "devil site?" :jd

Do you get a discount or just free cigars to smoke during your shift?

Yeah. Don't get me wrong I love the store and the discounts, and am very thankful for them. But, fact of the matter is, I love smoking somethings that we just don't carry.
