CBS is the next 750 release from Founders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:noon:noon:no on
Call everyone you know, it's the best day for beer lovers!!:r:r |
Re: Beer News
CBS will be out in September. Also, Black Biscuit should be the third release from Founders big bottles.
People believe Cashew Mountain may be bottled before the end of the year as well. Fall/Winter beer releases are the best. |

Boogoop by Three Floyds and Mikkeller.
I've enjoyed the "goop" project, so this sounds good to me. http://www.beernews.org/2011/08/new-...re/#more-22280 Making plans for a trip to Three Floyds in the fall now, have to get fall releases from them:tu |

Re: Beer News
Bill I'm a big fan of the dark IPA, and this one didn't disappoint as far as my taste buds were concerned.
The Alchemist Brewery is opening it's cannery to the public next Friday. I'm hoping to be able to stop in and grab some Heady Topper pounders before heading for a little Labor Day recreating. One of my all time favorite IPAs. |
Re: Beer News
Twitter update from the Alchemist brewpub.
The alchemist pub and brewery 2003-2011. Like a phoenix from the flames we shall be reborn..... The floodwaters have inundated the pub..... I know more important things were lost to this hurricane, but as a beer lover this one hurts. Hopefully the cannery opens as plans, and they get things back up and running quickly at the pub. |
Re: Beer News
The "beer black market"--never heard of this, but I should have guessed eBay would be used to resell HTF beers :(

Re: Beer News
this sounds good. :dr
Goose Island is perhaps best known for it’s Bourbon County Series. That has been expanded this year to include the Bourbon County Bramble Rye. The stout was aged in whiskey barrels, allegedly from Heaven Hill, and 60lbs of raspberries and blackberries per barrel were added. http://www.fototime.com/98702CEC8407F8A/standard.jpg |

Sierra Nevada says no to Tennessee plant
ALCOA, Tenn. — Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. has decided against locating a brewery in Alcoa, even after state lawmakers changed a law to entice the venture to east Tennessee, a Blount County economic development executive says. A spokesman for the Blount Partnership said today that the Chico-based company notified them that the site in Alcoa is no longer being considered, the Associated Press reported. Blount Partnership spokesman Jeff Muir said the family-owned brewing company told the partnership that differences from California's climate were a factor in the decision. As an enticement for the $200 million plant and some 100 jobs, Tennessee lawmakers had passed a measure allowing on-site sales of high-alcohol beer and sampling products at a taproom and restaurant. Sierra Nevada said last spring that it would like to expand somewhere east of the Mississippi River, and hoped to have a decision by the end of summer. A Blount County official earlier told the newspaper Blount Today that Alcoa and Roanoke, Va., where the two finalists for the plant. Sierra Nevada officials have not commented on particular sites. |
