Me too, its been over a month and a half since i paid for them so what can a man do but smoke another cigar and write it off as a lesson learned, an almost $400 dollar lesson though. It's more about the principal than the money though.

My last e-mail has been ignored. I wish we could do more to help you all out, things liker this really stink. The matter has been put to the ToE for a decision on Parafumar....unfortunately, banning him will serve little purpose as he doesn't even show his face here anymore...but I think it's a step we must take. :2

Wow, added back in October.

Take the list with more than a few grains of salt. While parafumar and others on there deserve to be there, the method by which folks make the list is a joke.

Check out some of the "reasons" for making the list -posting Cuban sources; late on a Secret Santa obligation.

All I am saying here is don't treat the list as gospel. While it is well known, it is by no means an authoritative source.

I agree with that. I know of at least one person who made good on the issue that got them there, and it couldn't take them off it. Sometimes, it is "mob mentality" that can get a person on there. Though there are some people who VERY deservedly end up on the list.

Very true but still a lot of guys are on there because they deserve it, guys need to read the reason they are on there and not just the name.

I don't disagree that many on the list deserve to be there. But the description alone doesn't tell the whole story. And if there were extenuating circumstances and the person eventually made things whole, do the list adminstrators remove the entry and/or issue an apology? Of course not. All I am saying is that the mechanics of the list is severely flawed.

I have to agree with Mr Pnoon. Some of the reasonings on that list are pretty bad. HOWEVER it is a valuable tool if you use it for what it is for, and read the reason people are on it. I would prefer it if had more information on it. Everything is pretty simple and vague.


Example - People gouging and re-selling. Sure it's not cool but does that make them a "scumbag" or a bad trader. Nope.

Oh I do agree and I think the biggest thing they should do is give more of the story as to why the guy got put on there in the first place. As far as removing them I don't know, did the person make right cause they got caught or did the person make right cause they felt they themselves did the wrong thing? The whole reason of outing a cuban source is a stupid reason for being put on the list getting someone banned from a board sure but it has nothing to do with trading.

I actually do think that makes them a scumbag, if they have a business then great but if there whole purpose is to come to the boards is to make money off a botl then yes they belong there.

Ideally, if the intent is to protect the cigar community as a whole, there should be representative from each of the larger boards who can work together to administer the list. It would be of much greater value if it had more credibilty. As it exists now, the use is minimal.

I believe someone was on there as a business that bought boxes from people and resold them. I think that has nothing to do with being scammed or not. The reasonings on that list go from minimal to a VERY extreme. I feel that some of the lesser offenders being put on the same list as say....parafumar, while we're on topic here, he's ripped off what 5-7 people? While others are on there for outing sources, being late on trades. Sure it sucks and I wouldn't necessarily want to deal with them but without a further story.........Hard to say. Who owns the list anyways? I'm sure it's not admins of any boards or anyone with ANY authority. Just a few peoples opinions.

I think I remember seeing a guy on the list for buying cc's and then breaking them up into 5ers or whatever and more or less pocketing enough out of selling (4) 5ers in order to give himself a 5er of said box for "free".

That may upset some people, but people don't want to take into consideration the person who placed the order took all of the risk should a package get seized. If I had a stiff fine for making a purchase on a split, do you think any of those people would step up and share the cost? Me neither...

The DC for mine is 0310 2010 0000 1337 4742 It just came up as accepted tonight in Chattanooga. It is supposed to arrive Saturday. I will post then.

I did want to add that the cigars had no aroma, and are quite dried out. I am hopeful that I can salvage them with a long deep dark sleep. Justin mentioned his were also pretty banged up and dried out. I was not surprised by their condition.
