I'm kinda disappointed in the way the whole Jax/Tara thing is evolving. Totally predictable and a bit of a let down really.

Yeah not a bad episode, but the ending was a real let down. It definitely felt to me like they were trying use that "shock" value. Knocking boots next to a corpse, with a hole in his head? Come on. They really could have milked Cone for a lot more in the plot.

Really weird! Just sick... :ss

Now the Mayan war looks to be getting nasty! :fl

Good episode. I'll refrain from spoilers, but...kind of a copout the way things ended up.

There were some interesting twists in this episode, but overall, I was kind of disappointed the way it played out.....

It will all come to a head again, there will be some double-crossing and triple-crossing. But if they kill ALL the bad guys in season 1, there might not be a season 2. ;)

Some really great lines in this episode. I rather preferred the lead in to this one.

"Why do you give me such a hard time?"

"It's in my nature. I'm a giver."

Agreed that this episode was kind of a letdown, at least as far as my "need for vicarious violence" goes. I was hoping for WAR and got shenanigans. (Going to have to make time to watch Troy & 300 now.)

Re: Weekly discussion for "Sons of Anarchy"

Well as much as I'd much rather see all out war going down, this does open up doors for it down the road. Clay's actions seem to be a lot more like Jackson's and with the club always ready to get dirty, I see a split coming up. And I see Tig killing someone with his bare hands.

that was another twist in this episode. Remember, Clay sent Bobby to check out how Opie was going to handle the job, And Bobby told Jax this just before they went to work......

Yeah, and it looked like Bobby gave Clay the nod that Opie did the deed. Did I read it wrong or did Bobby just cover his arse.

Look at it from this angle too, Jax and Opie Literally grew up in the club. As the sons of the 2 founding members, I see them never turning their back on the club, but mostly, the club Always taking care of those 2 more than any other.

They ARE the 2nd Generation SAMCRO

True, though Piney looked like he could snap Jax's neck a few episodes ago.

What disappointed me was the gross misread of Latin culture in the writing of the Mayan boss.

For any father of any culture to voluntarily have his own son murdered - in his own arms - is unthinkable.

For a Latino dad - unimaginable.

I agree. I had to watch the scene in the jail cell twice just to make sure that is where they were going. I guess they are trying to say that it's MC family over blood relation. That seems like a stretch, but I've never been in a MC.

Bobby had to close the deal

Yeah... but did it seem to you that Bobby gave kind of an "he did OK" look to Clay? Maybe I just misread it...

And with the Mayan offering up his son... odd. Guess he was that disappointed in his failure - and needed to act on it to keep face with the rest of the Mayans. Certainly should keep them in line - "If he was willing to do that to his own son...".

This show is amazing! :tu

I love this show, but I found last weeks episode to be a bit dry. I hope it's leading up to something big. :tu

Re: Weekly discussion for "Sons of Anarchy"

Some folks don't understand the SAMCRO reference to the club. :ss

This answers that question:

What does "Sam Crow" mean?
Sam Crow (actually, SAMCRO) stands for "Sons of Anarchy Motorcyle Club Redwood Original". This is in reference to their being an original, or charter member of the Sons of Anarchy motorcycle club.

Hell yeah, great episode. The ATF chick it trying to play the game like a man and couldn't hang, lol. "Unscrew that penis".

This was a very good show. This look to really be heating up. I don't envy Opie.

Darrell 11-06-2008 09:13 AM

Re: Weekly discussion for "Sons of Anarchy"

I think Opie is the weak link in the chain. I have a feeling it's going to get broken. I also think that they need to kill Cherry, as soon as she said she was going to snitch in there. I don't care if it's jail or not, she knows better.

Also, Otto ****ed Agent Stahl up BAD. Her face was looking bad. :tu

Next weeks episode looks good, this show is getting better with each episode. :tu

1 percenters have their own culture, laws and rules.

Punishment when a member breaks the rules, fails a task, or acts in a manner that defames the club can be anything from a swat at the hands of the Sargent at Arms (think cricket bat) to a beating by the members of the chapter you ride with or worse.

There is no Boss so to speak.

There's the President, Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer, Sargent/Master at Arms, Road Captain and from club to club I'm sure there may very well be other officers.

A chapters officers are nominated and elected by the members in good standing of that chapter, and answer to said members for their actions and decisions, even God (the President).

I'm surprised the depiction of this fictional club is as accurate as it is, compared to the inner workings of some real clubs.

The thing to remember... It's fiction, it's drama and it's about ratings.

The SA really are a kinder, gentler motor cycle club.

I didn't think cherry was going to leave the jail, let alone get on that truck the next day.
