I too think Cool Hand Luke was color. But one of the best scenes in movie history. Two words: Car wash.

Nope, Hitchcock shot it in color.

However, I would add Hitchcock's Psycho to this list (if it hasn't been mentioned already).

My father-in-law still believes that the Wizard of Oz was originally in black and white b/c he first saw it on a b&w tv.:r:r

Lots of good movies listed here. I loved the Kurosawa films and stuff by The Marx Brothers.
