Costco has two bags of Kingsford Competition for a very reasonable cost. Good base charcoal without a lot of flavor. Hint of wood chips and you're good to go.

Pecan shells have been my flavoring staple for a while.

Website is limiting sale to quantity 2 and the old $10 off $50 promo code above no longer works. Bummer. I could always make multiple trips as I work 1 mile from a Lowes.

Just walked in to a Home depot, looks like they have 2 x 18.6# blue bag kingsford for $9.88 through 4/10. At least in my region.
