Due to manufacturing differences, not all cello yellows at the same rate. Additionally, certain external factors can greatly accelerate the yellowing process.

I actually wait until my cigars have aged just enough to give the cello a great taste, and then i discard the cigar and smoke the cello.

Rule #1: Leave cigars in cello
Rule #2: Leave cigars in tubes
Rule #3: Your hygrometer is not always gonna read 70%, it's ok.

As a quality control experiment, I suppose that one could remove half the cello from a stick, but which half? There are so many to choose from.

Discuss.

Re: Cello on or off?

I leave them as I get 'em, except for cigars that are also wrapped in cedar. If that's the case, I strip 'em down.

I don't even take it off when I smoke them.

Mine are stripped down and go into the humi Naked! No Cello Here - by the way some said they came that way - well many of the fine ones do not come that way and it is for a reason.:2:banger:banger

Hey y'all my Hadji internet has been out for about two weeks... It came back on line tonight. I don't really give a sh*t about the cello, but this was the first solid, gut busting laugh I have had in a while. Don't let that get out to the Col. though I will be reduced in rank because 3rd ID doesn't believe in morale.

Just made me think of cigar forums, he didn't really seem like a forum guy so I really didn't recommend one. WTF was I thinking, next time I will.

Re: Cello on or off?

I leave mine on as it protects the cigars when moving them around in the humidor. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.:wo

Off, off, and off. If I'm transporting cigars I just use plastic sleeves like the baggies we used to get in the GBs.

However they're boxed is how I keep them (in the box). Loose in a desktop humidor I would take them off.

If I carried all of the same cigar in my humidor I would take them off... BUT... I have Many different types in my Desktop Humidor so I leave em on...

What does that have to do with cello on or off? Don't tell me you have fallen for the old flavor transfer lie.

I hear that internet cigars come with inferior cello and that B&M cello is better.
