His voice sucks now compared to what he used to could do. I love the original version of Dream On. The young Steven Tyler reminds me very much of Freddy Mercury with his vocal range. Not many Rock vocalists can go there.

80's: Don Dokken- Dokken. Just listen to "Alone Again".
90's: Layne Staley - AiC
00's: James Labrie - Dream Theater. His voice can be polarizing, but I happen to like it. Fits their music.

Someone I think is flying under the radar is Noah Hunt from the Kenny Wayne Shepherd band.

I saw Halestorm for the first time (never even heard their music until the concert) back in March and was very impressed with her. She reminds me of a more powerful Nancy Wilson. She's not too shabby to look at either. ;)
