I like this idea, kind of like what we did with the CA edition Boswell Pipe. Still my favorite pipe.

Can't be too hard to do. Back in the '90s everyone had a cigar named for them.

Yeah, I still have a whole box of "puff" laying around.:r

Re: Asylum Cigars

Don't we only need to order 500 boxes to get our own cc RE? :r

Problem with a brand new cigar/blend is that it requires a substantial amount of time to develop and get the blend right. 1-2 years minimum. Consider that and the SUBSTANTIAL amount of money you'd have to put down first and its an idea that would become a HUGE project.

Now if you're talking about adding a second band to an existing line of cigars that's not as hard..unless of course you're talking about Habanos in which case "officially" its a no go since we are a board based in America.

Yep 500 boxes would be the minimum but you have to remember the group that did that was based in Europe.

And besides "Club Epicur" is already taken :r

And that was such a whopping success.

Re: Asylum Cigars

The real issue IMO would be making a cigar not only the TOE would be happy with but the majority of the CA board would be happy with.

I have to say as a group we all have fairly high standards. A rush job to get something out would not live up to standards :2

Duh, just make them taste like 80's Davidoffs and it will be a smashing success. Easy-peasy lemond-aide squeezy? :r

You did?

Wow. I still haven't recovered from the sheer awesomeness of "never forget to keep them (cigars) in humidor, its really necessary to keep them away from moisture" post.

The one about quadrant hinges was pretty spiffy too.

The great thing about this community is the constant learning curve, Adam.

I didn't know about the quadrant thing either.

Why dont we make a poll with different options, for filler, and wrapper combos? I am all in on this one!

Re: Asylum Cigars

Anyone remember the Cigar Live cigar? That was a fiasco and a half... then later on when they were wholesaled completely... man, that whole thing tore the community apart before Craputo even got to it.

Because none of the TOE have the capabilities to make this a reality.
