Later reports said some hotels were trying to charge as much as $500 a night, with a minimum three day stay required. A friend booked one early and paid about $300, which was probably "only" double the normal price.
I watched Gas Buddy pages from a couple cities in the totality area, and saw no gouging. Color me surprised. |
