I'm more of a drum and bass fan (I Dj'd it back int he late 90s).. but I've been listening to a lot of dubstep recently.

I used to LOVE (and still do) speed garage. Back in the day I heard that speed garage kinda morphed into 2 step garage which morphed into dubstep. Is there any truth to this? I've heard very little dubstep, but what I have heard does have some similarities in baselines, even if the baselines also have huge differences and the speed of each genre is very different.

Never thought Id see a dubstep thread here. Im a big fan of Caspa, Nero, Doctor P, Skrillex, Rusko... Almost daily I'll listen to Caspa's Essential Mix from Radio 1. 2 straight hours of awesome.

there are like 10 on itunes Which do you recommend? I have a 5 hour drive to Dallas tomorrow.
