I was in Cancun in 2009 and didn't have any problems. Was able to make it to LCDH to enjoy a great cigar and the best mojoitos. I don't recommend going to Chitzen Itza because you are not able to climb it anymore. I did a tour to the Nohoch Mul in Coba. It was a great tour where we did a zip line, canoed, went in a cenote. This thread is relavent to my interests I will be heading to Puerto Morales at the end of May! Hopefully I will not be gunned down or kidnapped by drug cartels :D
