Well, I think having condensation is the real problem so here is what I did. I bought some silica gel sheets which is pretty much made from heartfeld beads. I then took some plumbers putty and spread it over the drain and placed the sheet on top of the putty so all water that would come down the back of the humi gets absorbed by the sheet.
