who plays the bass the best or who is the most talented bassist? my vote for talent and creativity would definately go to ROGER WATERS....

Although I'll give Roger huge credit for his lyric skills one needs to realize that a ton of the PF studio recording bass was actually done by Dave Gilmour despite the listed credits. It was kept on the down low for a long time but once the sh*t hit the fan during his lawsuit against the other band members the real stories started to come out. Listen to a live recording with RW playing the bass and then listen to the studio version. You'll hear how Roger tends to attack the bass line playing at the head of each section whereas the studio versions have a much more laid back sound which is more in keeping with Dave's phrasing.
