Re: Thinking of getting a golf GPS system.
Do they make one to judge the depth of the water hazards? That's the one I'd need.

Re: Thinking of getting a golf GPS system.
A few of the places I play don't have yardage markers. It makes it hard for me to judge the distance. I will be looking at the Golfbuddie, but am leaning towards the SkyCaddie 2.5.

Re: Thinking of getting a golf GPS system.
I have a SkyCaddie SG2 that I got on eBay. I like it and I think it helps. Where it does help is when that 1 out 100 times :-) that you're not on your fairway and you need to carry over some trees and bunkers to get to the pin, it will tell you how it is.
I play with a guy that has the same unit as me and a laser rangefinder. He uses the laser to get an actual "to the pin" measurement as the GPS give to front/middle/back of the green. |

I've played on a few courses that are missing yard markers on certain holes...it blows!

Re: Thinking of getting a golf GPS system.
I am bidding on a SkyCaddie 2.5 now. I will let you know how it works out.

Re: Thinking of getting a golf GPS system.
What's the difference between the use of a GPS Skycaddie and a Digital Range finder?
Do they both produce the same result? |
