Picked up a Russell's Reserve 10 Year single barrel Wednesday. It wasn't a store or group pick, but it's really tasty and at retail.

Nice score Tom.

I stopped by my local store to see what knew they had in. Nothing worth spending the money on but I did pick up the old Forrester 1910. Cracked that open and had a pour already. Oh my God might be my new favorite. Tastes like a candy bar.

That's a good pour. I've got a bottle in my queue...might have to bump it to the top. :D

I definitely want to try more Old Forester lines. It’s encouraging to hear high marks from you on the 1910. I’m really intrigued by the 1910, the 1920, and the single barrel Rye.

Well if there is anything to say about the 1910, I’m 1/3rd of the way thru the bottle which I just bought this morning.

I like the OF1920 at 115 proof, the King Ranch at 100 (thanks Johnny) and would like to try the new one (117?)

OF is hit or miss for me. I generally enjoy the BIB and anything >100 proof. The lower proof offerings just aren't in my flavor wheelhouse for whatever reason.

I had some Four Roses SBS last night. I quite enjoy it.

I stopped buying the barrel proof single barrel picks because they were all over the map, James. Now I look for stores that have a bar or samples to try a OFSBBS pick before I buy.

Looked on base to see if there was anything interesting, but there wasn't much. They did have a full stock of OGD 114 for the first time in over a year, so I grabbed two bottles. At $28, I can't pass it up.

Anyone have any thoughts on Stranahan? I always see it in the stores but haven't grabbed any as yet.

Only one I've had was a single barrel pick, James, so that's probably no help to you. For the record, it was just OK.

Nice pickup on the Booker's, Dave. :dr

I love that SFTB, Tony, Mike (chibnkr) brought me one a few weeks back that is outstanding.

No, this is Straight From The Barrel. I do have a bottle or two of Gold somewhere in the black hole of my office space. I really need to organize that room soon. -(P
