Nice rifle.

My Armalite arrives tomorrow and will post some nude photos of her then.

oO, SBR? :)

I've debated on building a 7.5" barreled house gun... but I'm worried the noise will be counter productive....

W00T!

Plametto State Amory has lower build kits in stock if anyone is looking for em (complete with magpul furniture :tu)
http://palmettostatearmory.com/index...build-kit.html

Now I just have to wait a month for everyone to catch up and ship their orders... and I'll have a new AR built...

Which means the current one is going to the gunshow this weekend. At current prices, how can I not sell? :D

Is that a reasonable price?

In today's market, yes. In November they were $120... so if you can wait another 3-8 months, I'm sure they'll be $120 again...

For me, I needed to complete my build sooner rather than later, so I'm willing to pay the markup. But it's definitely not gouging, just the going rate today...

Yeah....

I have always just considered building an AR, but recent events have motivated me.

homepage is loading for me, still showing both colors in stock.

Just found another lower parts kit option on slickguns

$75 http://www.core15rifles.com/ar-15-lo...kit-99599.html

That's just for the grip and lower receiver hardware, you'll still need to go find a buffer, tube, and stock, which will run you $65 for a basic one (at least the one I was looking at this morning, but it was from BCM).
Stay away from really cheap "amazon" buffer tubes, they can break too easily at the threads.

So overall, I'm still happy with my MOE purchase (since I wanted MOE furniture), but the other one is definitely an option for you, especially if you wanted a different grip or stock than the MOE.

Ctr stock > moe stock

That's how I got it, Justin. It was gifted to me, was my first gun. My ( ex) uncle was a gunsmith and redid the whole rifle out of necessity. The stock is cherrywood from a tree his father and him had cut down. They saved some of the wood for stock and it stayed in the garage for some time. After his father had passed away, he built the rifle up completely from the Mosen receiver. He hunted with it for many years. It has the 1939 stamp with the hammer and sickle, and like most Mosen, likely fell more than deer in it's history.

Although not a worthy 70 year old museum piece any more, it also doesn't fire like one. Actually it's pretty badass. :banger
