Do you smoke those ones with the leaf sticking out the bottom like normal or do you have to clip it off or something? I have never ran into those types before.

You can do both. I prefer to clip it off, I find it burns better.

I clipped MOST of the leaf off the bottom I left a 1/8 inch or so. I got another I'll probably light up the loose foot. Whichever works better is what my 3rd and final summerfest will get.

I smoked my first one with it on...took about 20 minutes to get to the stick. The rest have been cut off. :2

Smoke it all baby!! Part of the experience of the stick IMHO. Anyway you want to do it is fine as long as it is lit!!

I personally took it down with the MTX scissors the cigar lasts about an hour and a half as is. The extra foot would push it into a 2 hour stick. That's a bit much for me and it is one of my favorite Viajes. If you don't have the Xikar MTX scissors watch Cigarmonster for them they are a very nice cutter. They can easily chop a 52-54 ringer right in half with no difficulty. I haven't tried anything bigger. "TWSS"

Anyways I'm sure a Palio or any other cutter would work fine. I left part of the shaggy foot but only maybe 1/8 - 1/4 inch.

Look into getting some, they are very good sticks at a reasonable price of $8-$10. Speaking of which I need to buy more.

Fullerspullers has quite a few. Just got some from there last week.

The summerfests kick ass! I have 2 sitting in my humi now. Even have a fiver of the face aswell. Cant wait to try them. Good pick ups

Rev you are going to love these. Have you had any of the other sizes? If I had anymore I would send you a couple. Ill check the B&M and see if there are anymore. I want more any how so if I find some I will grab a few extra.

I haven't had any of these in any size. I wasn't real excited about LAs for a while, but then i had a barrel aged and a 1492 and they excited me enough to give these a new look. THe Cameroons weren't all that exciting, but these sounded like they have an interesting pedigree and flavor profile.

Here are my very biased thoughts.

It's good, rather good. I prefer the Corona (which seems to be a near universal preference) over the Lancero, but those two for me are the best in the line by a significant gap.
