What are everyones thoughts on the Citizen Eco Drives? I found one locally that I really like and might add it to my Christmas list. Are these decent watches or should I look elsewhere?

He is in Boston and has a good reputation with some big time collectors I've met. Great prices, warranty and you'll see the watch in person first since you are from the Bay State. New watch, can't beat Singapore dealers. |

One thing I have been told is that there's a battery inside the watch to store electricity (when it's dark) and the life of that battery is >10years. I like it alot though. I am lately digging the automatic watches and have 3 invictas and 1 Seiko and fake Rolex Auto. I also have a fairly nice Victorinox Chrono https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-A...0/IMG_1029.JPG https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Y...ture_00012.JPG |
Re: Wristwatch collectors out there?
Where can I get a tool kit to( change battery, remove links, etc)?

Re: Wristwatch collectors out there?
Here's the business end of my gold Invicta with an automatic Miyota movt.
I also have a stainless Steel one that is indentical looking but actually has a seiko auto movement but branded as Invicta, it is NICE and keeps great time. I think as a whole invicta could use higher QC standards. I can actually FEEL the vibrate feature since it is strapped to my wrist, I can glance down and see what the weather is outside, read all incoming text messages, and see who is calling. Best. Watch. Ever. Posted via Mobile Device |

Have any of you bought from the gray market dealers in the orient? I am in the market for a Tag Heuer 1887.

The part that allows the watch to wind up to 7 days is made by a company down the street from our Swiss office. I think that part alone is like $60; not to mention the customization IWC does to it. |

My other watch I wear in summer a lot doesn't have the amount of days left for the power reserve dial. Just an indicator with a red zone on the bottom. I wish it had a more precise time table. |

Re: Wristwatch collectors out there?
I do like the IWC Aquatimer. Very nice watch!!!
You guys actually go diving with them??? |

Re: Wristwatch collectors out there?
I don't go diving, but I would be nervous I would loose it deep in the water. I did go in the lake with my Zenith Defy Xtreme, but that was 5 feet of water. If the band broke I could pick it up with my foot!!!

Re: Wristwatch collectors out there?
I have a Breitling Windrider Chrono and have taken it snorkeling many times, but usually will take it off if going in deeper waters.
And Moses, you're right. The Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich is simply mind blowing. |
Re: Wristwatch collectors out there?
Never thought about deep water situations. I'll think twice the next time, thanks.
I like dive watches for their durable nature. I am not one to take the watch off when working on the car and there's nicks all over my watch, but it's mine and my nicks, lol. |
