Re: Wristwatch collectors out there?
I forgot this one. I wear this one only when I'm not drinking beer and smoking cigars. Certainly not for everybody, but the workmanship is superb, especially the leather strap. My only complaint is the writing on the 8 and 4. Down the right side of the 4 looks like it's missing paint. Actually, the word automatic is written top to bottom in such small letters I need a loupe to read it.

Got a new Renegade for my birthday.
I saw a Lucien Piccard rose gold at Heartland America for like 89 bucks. Not for me, but if someone else likes them.... |
Re: Wristwatch collectors out there?
anybody want any of these boutique watches ? most of them are good everyday watches.. the right two invictas have never been worn, the Black Kenneth Cole is beautiful and in decent shape, and the left invicta is pretty weathered. The Ecko on the left was given to me in 2004 and i wore it like twice. lol...
CRACKHEAD PRICES, especially if anybody wants multiples http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1.../watchesfs.jpg |

Re: Wristwatch collectors out there?
what's everyone's opinion on the quality of the replica watches? I've always wondered how good the detail and movements were. I actually don't wear a watch anymore and have my dad's old '60s Seamaster in a drawer so I'm not in the market for a replica. Just curious.

Finally got my grandfather's watch back from servicing.. Didn't have the original band with it so I'm currently on the lookout for an omega band that doesnt cost a week's pay and that actually fit's my wrist |
Re: Wristwatch collectors out there?
Very nice. I use to have a nearly identical Seamaster. Look for a regular band and get an Omega clasp or deployment clasp. You won't be able to tell the difference.
|
Re: Wristwatch collectors out there?
Already have the omega clasp that I got from the jeweler that did the service. They had an omega band that fit the watch but didn't fit my wrist so I just bought the clasp... I was thinking about doing a deployant clasp but I would want to go with an omega clasp at the very least and if I remember correctly they go for $300-400 by themselves

I was gonna ask someone here to stop my madness, but before I could post this...the wife took care of it. Five Invictas since 8/28/11, the Mrs. said no more. Damn, I knew I should've kept a separate account just for my fun stuff.

Nice watch wade Guess you'll have to pick up a ladies Invicta as a band aid. I guess this angel Invicta should do the trick.

Try not to laugh but I have 2 Crotons my old chronomaster in need of a battery and a skeleton automatic which I find fascinating to watch run.

This is the Metawatch by Texas Instruments. It is still in Developer release, but man it is sweeeeeet. It connects to my Droid (Note: only droids right now. No software for Blackberrys, iPhones, etc) via bluetooth. Along the bottom you can see: Missed calls, missed texts, and missed e-mails. It vibrates whenever I receive any of these 3 along with showing me who is making the phone call, or showing me the text message, or showing me which account received an e-mail. Plus I get the weather! Best. Purchase. Ever. (I've been using it for a week now - wanted to make sure it really worked. I work in a factory so I can't hear my phone ring and usually don't feel it vibrate...but the vibration on my wrist is hard to miss) http://metawatch.org/ Posted via Mobile Device |

I love watches, or as some say, timepieces. Plan on getting my first Ulysse Nardin by the end of the year. Love what they have.

Re: Wristwatch collectors out there?
I had the silver dial version of this watch a while back, but I sold it. I regretted this decision ever since. RGM has assembled a few more so I jumped at the chance. These are really nice manual wind watches.
