High A prospects: 3B Cristian Villanueva and RHP Kyle Hendricks.

Per scout Jason Parks: In Christian Villanueva,*#Cubs*get a slick glove at 3B, with a good stick and some legit pop. Quality kid; quality major league prospect.

I like the way Leyland handled it, and I don't put a lot of credence in anonymous sources. If the Tigers miss the playoffs by one game, then I will ask that they refile this complaint immediately. ;) :r

Agreed. I have respect for Konerko. He and Thome always get the best of the Tig's. Was Konerko hit by a pitch? What caused his concussion? I read the article at the link but it didn't say.

His temple got hit by an elbow. The baserunner was hugging the inside line pretty well and clipped his head running through first.

meanwhile, the Angels have fallen 8 games back of the Rangers... Enjoying that feeling for now.

Today, it feels nice, but most of the season the lead has felt incredibly small and at any given time, I expect the angels to catch us.
