I purchased 10 different beers last week. Negra Modelo, Stella, Sam Adams Summer Ale, Pillsner, Chimay, Bass Ale, New Castle, Sierra Nevada, and Fat Tire, and Fire Stone. They were all amazing!

Living in CA as you do, be sure to seek out Sierra Nevada (from Chico), and Stone (from San Diego). Both are exemplary breweries and should both be easy for you to find.

Bout to break out some cigars and some beers with some Chicago BA (Beer Advocate) friends. We have: Russian River Porter (growler), Russian River Hopfather (growler), Bullfrog The Jaspers, Cigar City Brewery Double Barrel Marshall Zhukov's, Captain Lawrence Cuvee de Castleton, and much much more...should be a fun tasting!

Went to a beer festival Saturday,had all kinds of Michigan craft brews...Some really great IPA'S and some good Stouts and some Barly Wines.

I got curious and opened a bottle of Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout, and wish I hadn't. It's excellent, but IMO more of a nightcap to be shared with friends. There's no way I'm going to enjoy drinking this entire bomber.

Gotta agree with you. I love BCS, but it's so huge that I only want to sip it and what better thing to do than share a great beer like that one.

Had a few great beers this w/e and the one I best remember was Central Waters Brewers Reserve Bourbon Barrel stout. Delicious!
