Guardian of the Farm Natural Apollo - I used to smoke these so much, I got a little burnt out on them...but now when I occasionally revisit them, I'm reminded why I smoked them so often! Still among my favorite NCs without a doubt. |

Moving right along -

I can definitely tell this is going to be a powerful & flavorfully spicy maduro, so I'm looking forward to trying it again soon! |

It’s in the mix with a lot of good cigars that aren’t standouts in some palate light up event. I’ve read some reviews just now and the glowing praise seems out of place or grossly exaggerated compared to my experience. The pepper is definitely present but I would say it’s the low end of medium / full and maybe I expected more. One reviewer smoked it in the morning and that pretty much sums it up in my opinion as to it’s strength and body. I need to smoke another and actually pay attention to it to give the cigar a fair shake. In comparison, I smoked a 2016 L’Atelier SS torpedo (only smoke the SS as the non-SS is unremarkable) and a 2017 L’Atelier du Mission and both were great with the Mission being the better of the two and it was second in the rotation. There are just too many good cigars so at some point, it’s just a matter of price. CigarFed has these at $8+ non-sale and I got them for $5. It’s a $5 cigar. |

@ Weelok thanks for the honest assessment, I totally agree about there being too many *really* good cigars out there...I'd rather take the $10 I'd spend on 2 Blackbirds and just buy another Stolen Throne for example, or something else highly peer reviewed, and know for sure that I'll have something really interesting in store. :tu
Speaking of interesting - https://i.postimg.cc/7hYt6wV8/D71143...-AEF628-AE.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/0yL4fg8D/C65-FE...3410989-BA.jpg Espinosa Las 6 Provincias LHB Toro - smoked this last night, very nice cigar, definitely easy to distinguish as an Espinosa from first light, lots of toasty mineraly notes and even a jam like sweetness towards the end. I think these could be amazing with a little age... Isabela Firecracker- first up with my coffee today, this one is a winner, ended up writing a lengthy review so I'm going to post in the review section, check it out if interested! |

Last night cigar was the Aganorsa Leaf.
Tonight’s was gifted to me from the Rev and boy is this a good cigar. Sometimes you forget all the great DP cigars out there in the fascination with trying new cigars. So good. https://i.postimg.cc/Rhnrrpn5/169888...A100-E3880.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/3WMs3jgy/6073-E...8242201027.jpg |
Re: pnoon's what cigar did you smoke today VII?
Graycliff 30 year Toro - haven't had one of these for a while. While not all graycliffs are much to write home about, this one is still an AM/with coffee favorite.
@ Dave I also picked up some of those JJ Maduros in Robusto and couldn't agree more, it's a spectacular cigar! |

601 Maduro Toro - i think one of the reasons I like this blend so much is that is has a..long, yet gentle peppery finish. Sort of like the experience of a massage therapist that ate jalapeño poppers without a fork on their lunch break, translated in to a really tasty cigar! |

DPG Black Toro - black coffee and a little DPG action to accompany my morning studies/homework. The Black blend is a personal favorite but seems to shine *so* much more as a robusto. As a toro it's a little less intense, but hey it's also a longer smoke so who is keeping score? (I am, actually, and Robusto still wins) On a side note, does anyone have an idea as to how I could convince DPG to make this blend as a corona? I think it would smoke *spectacularly* in that vitola. |

601 La Bomba Toro - stronger than the 601 Steel but not by much. The La Bomba has more of a buttery/oilier profile and Steel has drier earthy and floral notes. I'll definitely be getting more of both. :tu |

I wonder if enough people were to start a petition or somehow promise to buy x amount of boxes, if we could get DPG to do a special limited run? Personally my preference would be something like a standard traditional corona or maybe even a lonsdale... Oh and btw this morning I smoked a.... HC Criollo Toro - wonderful cigar, would recommend to anyone that loves a good Criollo blend! |

Isabela Sparkle Robusto - wowwww this one deserves a review too but I won't have time this morning. Another home run from Isabela imo, has a nice med-full body and rich, rich flavor. Slow even burn...this one and the Isabela Firecracker are among the best cigars I've had this year, really looking forward to trying the rest of the sampler I have! |

My Father La Promesa Corona - very nice! However, it doesn't stand out to me amongst some of the more unique My Fathers, but this one is still very good. That said I probably wouldn't get more unless on a killer sale. |
Re: pnoon's what cigar did you smoke today VII?
Had an ashton VSG last night. Been a while since I had one and forgot how much I love them.
Puffing on a Flor De Las Antillas currently. Burn has been a little wonky, but I attribute that the it being stupid windy today. First time trying one and I'm pretty impressed. Not the most complex profile, but for the price it is a really nice cigar. |

https://i.postimg.cc/02Htb9Rx/D84825...E5-A229-CD.jpg Warped La Hacienda Robusto Extra - great first cigar of the day preferably with coffee. Lightly sweet earthy floral notes early on then a nice creamy mineral note closer to the end. I'd like to get these in the corona vitola eventually and age them. |

Sinistro Last Cowboy Maduro Corona - after revisiting this one once its had a little more rest and finally, the verdict is in: it's a winner! Full bodied, lightly sweet earthy coffee with white pepperiness and a light but long lingering red pepper finish. Spectacular cigar and I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys a full bodied full flavored maduro, so if that's you - check this one out! :tu |

But after smoking this Enclave and his Ramon Allones with 6-8 months of rest? Incredible. Planning on stocking up on some of his stuff soon and forcing myself to forget about them for a year or so. :tu |
