Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
Sharks won one last night. Saw the game. I didn't agree with the stars goal in the third. Seen goal tender interference called for less, but then again I remember thaf leafs game earlier in the year where Orr tackled the goalie and they let it count. Sharks grabbed it in the end, but the Stars got a point.
Saw the interview on NHL network last night. My wife thought it was really cool. |
Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
Hawks played their best 3rd period, defensively, on the season and beat the Western Conference leaders 4-1. :wo

What did the Hawks D-Parings look like with Cullimore on waivers?
We are down Nick Leddy for the world juniors but Cullimore is hardly a replacement if he clears. His give a S*** was broken when he was down at the beginning of the year I'd hate to see it now. |
Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
Cullimore played, Matt, it was the same pairings as the last several games. I hadb't heard he was on waivers.

Back in the day Pulford (via Wirtz, I am sure) only offered Chelly a one year contract, and told him they thought he had 1 or 2 years at best left in him. They refused to sign him to any longer term than 1 year. Chelly had 4 young kids, his parents in Chicago, a sister with cancer in Chicago, and wanted some stability, both financially and geographically. Hawks wouldn't offer it to him, so he asked to be traded. Detroit was close, and offered him what he sought. And the Hawks' prediction? Chelios played 10 years for the Wings. |
Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
Avs win their 6th straight....
Quincey done for the season... |
Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
Too bad about Kyle, E.J., he is a good young player. Nice job by Craig shutting the door at the end, the Habs were firing on all cylinders.
Good win for the Hawks, hoping they keep the home cookin' going. |

This season is getting Frustrating.
The Bruins can't seem to play back to back good games What happened, they started out so promising. Even in the games they lost they played good hockey, they just got beat. Now they are playing like someone shot there dog right before the game. Snap out of it. :sl |

I said it two seasons ago the Julien should be fired,no what does Chiarelli do but give him an extension.
Me I would rip the C off of Charas sweater, I am sick and tired of Bruins players getting hammered and no one does anything about it except Thornton. This type of play has to stop and soon.:sl |

The writing is on the wall.
Neely said today on the radio that the coach has a job but is accountable. Thornton and Boychuck had some stick swinging and Bergeron and Savard had a shoving match. It was called a spirited practice today :D |

Wings pulled one out agains the Canucks at home. They really struggled against the Vancouver power play. Good win against a team who was only 2 points back and had only played one game more than the Wings. A little distance in the standings is a good thing.

Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
Watching Sharks Yotes and both teams have their hate on. Sharks have dominated the play, but only have a one goal lead.
Labs has kept the yotes in it as the shots are 29-15 not counting a couple posts Uhh mike check your stats, the nucks had played the same number of games as Wings With Wings loss tonight you have played 1 game more than the nucks and have a 1 point lead. Unless my scoreit app is wrong. |
Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
4-1 now, that Niemi looks like a former Stanley Cup winner. ;)

Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
I would disagree lot of diving and great defensive play at times. At times he looked good at times I was thankful the d played very well tonight. They collapsed well and cleared a lot of presents off the table.
Now if only the d played like that every night. :r Always neat to see Whitney play. Last active member of the first sharks team. Man I love hockey. Nothing else does it for me. I like baseball, but hockey is just hockey. |
Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
I would disagree too, just thought I would be nice for Christmas. :r

The B's were fighting to save their coaches job.
So what happened is to get these guys to step up and watch each others backs, something they have not done. Lucic will get suspended I don't know whats up with him? He gotten away from the physical game he has forgot what got him on the big team. |
