Picked up my version of bullets today, supposed to have fungus at the edge of the
rear element, Damned if I CAN find any. Looks like it rolled out of a box somewhere.

Thanks, Colonel Potter, lol. Its not often someone comes up with one you still have.
Knowing you have greatly pared down, it must be a good one. I have a few faster,
but I don't think they are better. A series E 1.8 and a AF-D 1.8

Hey Jeff, my mother has been out of St. Louis for almost 15 years, but still gets the Botanical Garden
Calendar every year, that's how much she loves that place.

Yea, I guess I'm a pack rat. I still have a couple F3's and an old F bagged up in the storage unit. I sold off most of my manual stuff years ago (still regret getting rid of the old 300 F2.8 :gary) but kept some of my favorites just in case. I still have 105 F1.8 and a 180 F2.8. Absolutely awesome portrait lenses!

OH WOW, the 180 2.8 is some lens....I forced myself to pay what they asked for a 180mm 2.8 ED.
I really like that lens, my favorite, very likely.

here is a pic that satisfies all your urges, Col. Potter....shot with the new 50mm f/2
Seeing as it is hand held at 7:30 pm or thereabouts, I am happy. Either 2.8 or 4 at
this point.

Was out in the garden today. Had plenty of big bumblebees buzzing around. Snapped this pic with my iPhone. Kinda surprised how well it turned out.
