Re: The Official Soccer/Football/Futbol/Calcio thr
thanks jason!
"you sir are a rubbish footballer" "well, you're ugly" http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...ngland&cc=5901 Taylor supposedly told Ronaldo he was a rubbish footballer and ronaldo said taylor was ugly... or something like that... Todd Tripoli said "If you heard that Drogba and I got in a row in the tunnel. The story would have been how I punched Drogba in the brain. Not calling him names." :r:r |

Brilliant.
Totally dominated Real Madrid. 1-0 in Spain. 4-0 at Anfield. So why can't they play like that against Boro? |
Re: The Official Soccer/Football/Futbol/Calcio thr

Seen part of the game, Liverpool deserved to win and they did. |

In real time, the penalty looked like the right call. The replay showed differently. I can see how the AR made the decision he did. I will give him credit, though. It was right in front of him and he never hesitated. |

Re: The Official Soccer/Football/Futbol/Calcio thr
Man U/Liverpool Saturday
What's the wager? :D |
Re: The Official Soccer/Football/Futbol/Calcio thr
all in on Man U :)
|
Re: The Official Soccer/Football/Futbol/Calcio thr
Depends on which Liverpool team shows up. The one that played Boro or the one that played Real Madrid.
|
Re: The Official Soccer/Football/Futbol/Calcio thr
doesn't matter Peter, send both teams 22 vs 11 and Man U will still win.

If the team that played RM shows up, ManU is toast. Did you see the match? They played like champions. Anything less and, I agree, ManU will get the result. |
Re: The Official Soccer/Football/Futbol/Calcio thr
tough call... both will be on a high after their wins in the CL.
I think i'm going to lean towards manu taking this one |

Robert is Happy. 45% to 50% possession according to skysports, but liverpool had 5 shots on goal. 4 of them went in. United were threatening but only because of liverpool mistakes. the first 3 goals were because of mistakes. Reina knew seconds before that he should try to stop, just couldn't. Vidic had an off game and gerrard and torres took full advantage. I think Dossena should partner torres... two games, two goals.

Re: The Official Soccer/Football/Futbol/Calcio thr
I haven't seen the game, but congrats to the Liverpool fans. Guess that smack talking can really bite me in the ass. Premier league hasn't been decided yet today.

I must admit to loving Feyenoord just for the picture of 'that kid'... I'm sure you know the one I mean. I bet you that DVD is still one of their top selling items though.... Everton have a single DVD of 3-0 over us, lucky them.

I think Ferdinand meant on a good day which this was not for Man U. and even that he exaggerated a bit...by at least 3-4 players. So on a good day I would agree that Man U could beat Liverpool if liverpool had 18 palyers:D Seriously, I think the loss will be good for the team and great fodder for a coach to use for the future. A humbling experience for sure. T |
Re: The Official Soccer/Football/Futbol/Calcio thr
pete, I would retort that On a good day liverpool could destroy the likes of anyone in Europe. SO on a good day for liverpool and Manchester united, I think the earth would shatter. Pepe Reina had a key contribution in fantasy... hilarious. Too bad I didn't have dosenna in my squad.
Manure, still in command, dropped the first points since december, they're going to have to give up 4 more to give liverpool/chelsea a chance. if they do drop any points, May shall be interesting. If Liverpool can continue to score 4 out of ever 5 shots, I think we'll be ok. LIVERPOOL *clap clap clap* Liverpool. and don fernando, if you want to say "big clubs" "who's bigger than liverpool?" |

Liverpool officially has the ugliest set of players in the EPL:
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,195...060380,00.html http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/team/squad/insua/ http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/team/squad/skrtel/ http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/team/squad/benayoun/ http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/team/squad/kuyt/ while Tevez is IMHO the ugliest SOB in the EPL, liverpool has a set of ugly mugs. real quick... skysports, soccernet and a few others are all calling vidic's foul on S. Gerrard to be a "professional foul", I was under the impression that in the Laws of the Game, it was called "Denying an Obvious Goal Scoring Opportunity". anyone's thoughts? jason? |
Re: The Official Soccer/Football/Futbol/Calcio thr
are we going to re-hash the "professional foul" thing again? :ss
I'm still not sold that Stevie G didn't pull Vidic down. Quote:

Re: The Official Soccer/Football/Futbol/Calcio thr
yes, going to be nice me thinks. Liverpool Chelsea... well... to say I'm looking forward to beating chelsea a possible 4 times in 1 season... wouldn't be bad. I would think that Liverpool's got a shot, United Have the easiest road, with Arsenal being the toughest option, Liverpool must beat Chelsea, and then Barca.... My brain says barca v united in the final, but well.. we all know what my heart says.
