I showed a picture of this to a buddy of mine having issues of making chai tea himself cause he can't get the froth or to taste right, would something like this help making it. Reason I would suggest something like this is he makes esspressos and lattes as well so I said if it would work he'd corner all his tastes.

Re: COFFEE: What are you drinking?

The last of the Colombian, with 4, very smooth. Most of the lemony is gone.

Drinking the SM Monkey Espresso Blend roasted to FC+. I'm kind of indifferent about it.

Well it would work for the espresso and the latte but in order to make it work for the chai it would take a bit of tweaking. The machine uses the Nespresso capsule system and they don't sell chai tea. However, they do have fillable re-usable capsules that you can put anything in so it'd work for chai tea if he bought those.

I have loved both of my Nespresso machines and this is coming from a guy who used to grind his own beans and use a Gaggia espresso machine so that says something.

Silk creamer? I may have to look for that one.

This is the one I use.
http://silksoymilk.com/products/silk-creamer

It's not the regular Silk Drink. It's a creamer for coffee. Tastes just like 1/2 & 1/2 but much better for you. I think it tastes better than 1/2 & 1/2 personally. I use the Orignal (non flavored) one. I dont want to "change" the flavor of my coffee.

I always felt this way about it and my Brother didn't like it as espresso. I think the Moka Kadir Blend is WAY better :2

I'll pick some up tomorrow. I use almond milk on my cereal. This may totally end dairy for me...except for yogurt

New coffee! Sumatra Bodhi Leaf Grade A Mandheling :cf2 Roasted 2 days ago to FC+, drip, splash and dollop (both good). Typical Sumatra, great body, funky earth as it cools. But it's really clean, very nice. Creamy vanilla with chocolate roast tones :cf1
From Klatch, recommended as a classic Sumatra.

Funny how that works. The Sumatra Bodhi Leaf, with 3, is WAY better than with 2. Deep and rich, fantastic body. Excellent cup!
Happy Saturday!

Just the regular old Trader Joe' House Blend this morning. I love their Sumatra/Columbian blend for this brand...

Pressed a cup of monkey blend before church.
Sumatra, with 4, after, is smooth and fine.

Nothing special as far as beans go, just Caribou french roast. But I got a new french press and the non-fancy beans taste way better out of this thing than they did from the coffee maker.

I'm really happy with it so far. At an insulated 64oz I can get 4 big cups of coffee and the second two are still hot when the wife and I get to them.

I have been pressing in my glass press and then poaring it into a thermos. Yesterday I grabbed a nice little travel press. I saw a nice big carafe at Ikea Saturday kind of like yours, I really wanted to grab it but the boss said not today.

It is beautiful! But, doesn't the coffee tend to get bitter, sitting in there? Or, if you guys drink coffee like me, it doesn't sit long ;)
Try some Dunn Bros. coffee. Fresh roasted right in the stores.
I grew up in MN, did some canoe trips down the Crow, there were no houses along it back then  only farms. Smoked my 1st cigars on those trips, Wolfe Bros. Rum Soaked Crooks -(P

Mine doesn't last long but it does occasionally get cold fast if I leave it directly in my glass press.
I add it to a thermos just to keep it hot for the 15 or so minutes I take to drink it all.

New coffee! Ethiopia Pulp Natural Process Limu :cf2 Roasted 2 days ago to FC, drip, dollop. Very nice cup, subdued fruit with very good body.
SM says, "City+ to FC+: A very unique cup that features both wet and dry process characteristics, fruited notes and good body, peach, mango, apricot, herbal notes."
Good cup, enjoying it. It's no fruit bomb, but the added body is a plus :cf1

When I do press, I put whatever is left, in the thermal carafe, of my Capresso coffee maker.

Roasted this morning.
Ethiopia Limu, with 3, deep, rich, fruit is rich wine, not complex but a solid cup. Tastes much darker roasted than it is

Just pressed a French Roast Blend I made. Roasted Saturday. All 3 beans roasted seperately.
1/3 Sumatra Tarbarita Peaberry
1/3 Ethiopia DP Sidama Aleta Wondo
1/3 El Salvador Majahual Tablon La Montana

Very nice even w/ only 3 days on it. Spicy Earth, Lightly fruited and a juicy mouthfeel.
Should even get better w/ another day or 2 on it.

I thought it was good but I like the Moka Kadir Blend better (MKB is no longer available).

Damn, El Salvador Finca La Montanita Bourbon is no longer available either. That has been one I really enjoyed.

It's pretty good, but nothing to write home about. I really liked the El Salvador Majahual -Tablon La Montana and can't wait to roast up some more. It has definitely made me curious about other El Salvador offerings and central American coffees in general. I think I need to be keeping a coffee journal like I do with cigars to track the coffees and their degrees of roast.

I still have like 4 lbs to consume, so I'm trying not to order more for now, but it's hard! WILLPOWER!
