Trainwreck. Total formula but an enjoyable ride. Bill Hader might be looking at moving beyond comedic rolls, but he's going to have yo be careful which projects he picks.

Re: What's the last movie you watched II?
Fantastic Four.
No, not THAT one, nor the other two THAT ones, which at least had Jessica Alba to look at. This was the unreleased 1994 Roger Corman version, with a budget billed in pocket-change and special effects on a level with the BBC's first season of Dr. Who. Interesting, as long as you go into it with the same attitude you'd view, say, Plan 9 From Outer Space. :D Song of the South No, not THAT one, which for PC reasons Disney has locked in the vault, at least here in the land of the free. This was a 2013 documentary subtitled Duane Allman And The Rise Of The Allman Brothers Band. Two hours of great stories and great music telling not only that story, but the birth of Southern rock itself. It's available to stream free on Hulu, and I highly recommend it. |
Re: What's the last movie you watched II?
Interstellar
Entertaining, I guess. |
Re: What's the last movie you watched II?
Inherent Vice
It seemed to have lost a lot of the humor of the book. |

Caught much of Sex Tape on cable last night. This was never on my radar before, but it was certainly 'laugh-out-loud funny' in a number of parts.

Re: What's the last movie you watched II?
Anchor Man - just classic
She's Funny That Way - just horrible |
Re: What's the last movie you watched II?
Twister

Re: What's the last movie you watched II?
Horrible Bosses 2
I laughed some. |
Re: What's the last movie you watched II?
The Drop.
Been a fan of Tom Hardy since Lawless, and really liked him in this. Gandolfinis' last film as well. |
Re: What's the last movie you watched II?
Commando with the Governator - Some of the best lines in any of his movies.
John Matrix: Where is she, Sully? Sully: Kiss my ass! John Matrix: I can't hear you! Sully: I'll say it a little louder, get ****ed! John Matrix: [holds Sully upside-down over a cliff by his leg] Listen, loyalty is very touching. But it is not the most important thing in your life right now! But what IS important is gravity! I have to remind you Sully, this is my weak arm! Sully: You can't kill me Matrix! You need me to find your daughter! John Matrix: Where is she? Sully: I don't know. But Cooke knows, I'll take you to where I'm supposed to meet him! John Matrix: But you won't. Sully: Why not? John Matrix: [holds the hotel key he stole from Sully that Cooke is staying at] Because I already know. Remember, Sully, when I promised to kill you last? Sully: That's right, Matrix! You did! John Matrix: I lied. Then when he's asked where Sully is the classic response: "I let him go." :lr |
Re: What's the last movie you watched II?
American Ultra -- better than I thought it would be -- one of those where the stupid moments make it funny.

Re: What's the last movie you watched II?
On Saturday we watched No-No a documentary about Dock Ellis pitching a no hitter on L.S.D., very interesting
Sunday we watched a documentary on Quite Riot, pretty good :) |
Re: What's the last movie you watched II?
Southpaw - Meh, reminded me too much of the Rocky story lines.
San Andreas - cheesy, especially the ending line from The Rock. If you've seen the movie 2012, you can skip this one. |
Re: What's the last movie you watched II?
Secret Life of Walter Mitty. A nice feel good movie with awesome eye candy.

Re: What's the last movie you watched II?
The Ref - :tu :tu (always a fun watch)

The Great Outdoors :)

Re: What's the last movie you watched II?
Tusk - great Kevin Smith dialog as usual, but the plot was horrendous.

Re: What's the last movie you watched II?

Electric Church: It's basically a concert film of Jimi Hendrix's performance at the 1970 Pop Festival in Ga.......the 1st half of the film is set up how this was documented, but never released and it looked like it was bigger than Woodstock the rest is Jimi's ENTIRE performance......I really enjoyed this....it's on Showtime right now. |
