Not sure I would would spend the money for crimson trace for a sigma ? That's kind of like putting $2500 wheels on a 1989 Hyundai . LOL

Carlos did you consider the laser max that integrates into the guide rod. That way you can carry it in any standard Glock holster.

Went to the range yesterday and fell in love with a Springfield XDM 40. May have to kill the 1911 purchase and pick one of these up instead for my first semi-auto pistol! :tu

I noticed the same thing when shooting a Glock 30, I loved it!
I don't have a 30 at the moment, but it's high on the short list to get one day....

Had a 27 a while back and sold it. Just not a big fan of the .40 cal in a Glock.

OK... SO I am selling a majority of my firearms and doing some swapping to afford wedding rings and getting a monetary cushion for baby in August... Is anyone familiar with pricing on a P99 QPQ in .40? I looked online and found as little as 200 and as much as 550, I don't want to get taken for a ride on this trade and as it is a friend of a friend I semi feel obligated to give him a fair price.

Not sure about the value. I'd check gunbroker and gunsamerica and see what guns in similar condition are selling for.

After seeing a big guy fire a 12 gauge at the range this past Sunday, decided I would like to keep my shoulder as it currently appears and instead, move on to a weapon I can have more fun with.
AR 15 here I come.
Looking at DPMS PAnther or S&W MP15.
Would love the Colt but rather save the $400 or so for gadgets.

The M&P15 seems to be a winner overall. I have my eye on one of those as well.

I have the M&P AR-15. It's good, you'll just have to file down the lip on the PMAGS or else they won't fit. Other than that, no complaints.

Besides having my eyes on the G29 and now a G30, I'm planning on buying a AR 15 as well. From what people tell me, Rock River Arms builds great firearms. They are priced decent as well. Bravo is another company I'm looking at, but more expensive.

I would stick with the S&W. I have had no luck with DPMS. My brother has the M&P and is slowly pushing me in that direction.

I have zero experience with AR 15s, but what little research I've done has all said DPMS is not a good deal, even if they are cheap. Then again, I would imagine it depends a lot on how many rounds the person plans to put through the gun. Maybe a casual shooter would be fine with a DPMS, I'm far from an expert on firearms.

It may have something to do with the type of gun he was shooting. A heavier semi-auto with a recoil pad is OK for shooting a few dozen rounds through. A lighter field gun is harder on you but only needs to be practiced with to get a feel for it. A home defense gun you would only shoot enough rounds to know what to expect.

One of the guns that has messed me up the most is a 30-30 carbine. A light gun with a narrow butt on the stock to concentrate the blow. Always makes me black and blue.

ARs are a lot of fun if you have a private place to shoot. A Ruger 10-22 with a scope and high capacity mags and a carton of shells with lots of cans, targets, ground squirrels, wood blocks, apples hanging in trees, crows, junk cars, etc. to shoot at is hard to beat for having fun on the cheap.

DPMS aren't terrible firearms, but like any weapon you need to take care of them. I have shot plenty of them and had no problems at all, but I have read stories about people who don't clean or maintain their weapons and then cry when they jam.

All the specs on PSAs stuff are great, they use FN barrels, and the prices are right, I have also seen they have good customer service in my poking around da webz.
