Pens vs Linquist.
To quote Monty Python: "Breakaways - - - yeuch" You get let Cindy loose like that, he WILL score. |
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
Gaborik scored 3 goals in less than 13 minutes, but in 3 different periods. Now THAT's a natural hat trick. ;)
|
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
I wonder if the league would let the Bruins start each game down 2-0. That way they play with heart and fire for a full 60 minutes.

Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
PK knocks the net off the mooring with under two...should have been a penalty shot everywhere but Montreal!!!
|
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
Bruins looked really frustrated tonight. Price was superb.
Weird officiating though - spearing, cross-checking, boarding, the whole nine yards. |
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
Can't give up the breakaways..bad defensive decisions.
There is plenty of blame pie to go around. |

Well the Rangers laid an egg tonight.
Bah. Pile of faeces. They were more sluggish than the Hockey Night in Canada commentators. Come back TSN - all is forgiven!:pu |
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
Me thinks the Blueshirts are toast. :(

Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
Alright, Bruins, nice OT win!!!

Thankfully the Habs decided to shoot everything at the spoked B on his chest and try to drive the puck through his body last night, still surprised they didn't go in.
Rask sucks. :hn |
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
You're lucky. Pavelec actually sucks the puck through his body and into the net.

Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
Hawks faced greater adversity last year versus Detroit. The series is far from over.
I'll be in the UC Sunday, willng the Hawks to a win. ;) |
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
I'm happy for King Hendrik and especially Marty St Louis. Helluva effort.

Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
Best chant in professional sports, "We want the cup...." only slightly better than "Beat L.A. ... " which most people mistakenly think was the Garden crowd chanting TO the Celtics, but in reality it was as the Celtics were being beat, the crowd was chanting to Philadelphia 76ers as they won the series and were heading on to play Magic's Lakers for the Championship. Oh and Yankees Suck of course is a classic... :r :r

Speaking of chants... I'm a Flyers fan, but also a hockey fan. Back in 03 I was lucky enough to go to north Jersey (wait....who is ever lucky to go to north Jersey?:r) to see a Finals game between the Devils and the "Mighty" Ducks. During that game (which if you'll remember from that Ducks playoff run, JS Giguere was playing great) the Devil's fans were chanting "Marty's better". Wow... I thought that was great. Although, as a Flyers fan I was rooting for the "Mighty" Ducks, I gave kudos to the Devil fans that night.

Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
No "quack quack quack" chants, oh wait they were in NJ. :r
Best Bruins save of the game was by Hamilton getting his stick in there, of course the crowd thought it was some amazing Rask save pfffth. Every player in the Seguin trade is paying off in spades for the Bruins right now, suck it Tyler have fun spending the rest of the playoffs in some bar being drunk and acting like an ass. I enjoyed Thornton laughing at PK, the dirtiest player on the ice whining to the refs as Shawn literally laughs at him, if PK could land some of those forearms and elbows at the back of players heads he'd have something going there. Rask sucks :hn |

I was LMAO at Thornton's laughing in his face. Good win by the Bruins; I just hope they close out the series next game. |
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
The Bruins had not scored a power-play goal in the playoffs against the Canadiens in 39 tries over 14 playoff games dating to 2009... ouch, well got that monkey off our back.

Seguin still > Louie E. and Riley S., Adam. ;) Just that the Bruins have the better goaltender. :r
Headed to the United Center tonight, hoping the Hawks keep home ice unbeaten. |
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
Whoa - lucky guy. Are you a season ticket holder Tom?

Good luck at the game tonight Tom, need to turn that tied.

Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
The difference here is that the play was on going not during a stippage and having water on a visior during play is like driving with a windshield with water. I going to guess you have never played or played with a visior. It was actually a little dangerous. While I dont care for either player much I like Thorton a bit more. Still think it was just a dumb thing to do.

Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
That was the Bruins we been watching all year..Carl Soderberg is a beast.
The B's are back on track this series will be over tomorrow night!! |

Don't forget Matt Fraser got the game winner the other night. Seguin with one goal in playoffs, same as last year. Getting to look like Cherillie picked Dallas pocket..plus there is another guy we might see in the future. And we do have one of the best goaltenters in the world of hockey.:D |
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
I'd still take Seguin over the lot of 'em. :2
Off to the UC is about an hour, Let's Go Hawks! |

I've played. I've played with a visor. Notice I didn't defend what Thornton did; I thought it was stupid. All I did was make fun of Subban for lying that he couldn't see for the last minute and a half of the game. It's kind of hard to skate directly to a ref and whine like a little girl with a skinned knee when you can't see. |
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
Wow Pens just got away with a huge one there, instead of being down 3-1 they have a power play and only down 2-1 ... terrible call, but that's hockey.
|
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
Crawford sucked to the tune of a .964 save percentage...hope he sucks even worse Tuesday. ;)
|
Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
What is the significance of the flame during the habs pre-game, is that from the Vancouver Olympics when they had no snow and couldn't get the cauldron to work, or is it left over from the riots when they were setting the cop cars on fire after the Bruins beat the canucks for the cup? Anyone know?

Re: NHL '13-'14 Season Thread
It's Montreal, not Vancouver, Brohamius. I think it represents how Tuuka got scorched on that poke check attempt. ;)
