I don't care what he does as long s he stops pucks.
But it was reported he did not show his face in the visitors locker room this morning at the Bruins practice.
I would say that was kind of chicken ****.

Second period was more controlled but not much on the chances front. Need a big third!

Big third for effort, too little too late.

The Hawks all looked like they were already on break with the exception of Hossa and Andrew Shaw. If we had 18 Shaws out there tonight, we would have won in a rout. :2

Yep Shaw is a gamer, you could see that from the start. Everybody who see him play falls in love with him because he brings it every day. IMHO I would be pretty surprised if we see him back in Rockford.

The Central division is a gong show, I will be very interested to see where everybody ends up come mid April.

I think 4 teams will make the playoffs from the Central, Matt, there order is my only question.

Shaw had more legs than a Chernobyl centipede tonight....Love the kid! :tu

Thomas made a statement that was rather anti-Obama. Mass is a "blue state" so to speak, where the overwhelming majority voted for him in 2008. Not surprising that it didn't go over so well around there.

BTW, Wings are first in the NHL with 67 points and 33 wins. Overall I think they're doing rather well. Ian White was a good pickup with the retirement of Rafalski. Not an easy guy to replace. They need to tighten up on the defensive turnovers, especially in their own zone. Also, while White is playing pretty well, I still see some plays that shows me he's not quite 100% comfortable in the offense or with the players around him. Half way through his first season here I kind of expect that. Hopefully that won't be an issue come playoff time.

Go Wings!

Was out for dinner for my dad's birthday last night, so I missed the game.

Going into the break with 2 straight wins is a great thing, considering the slide the Wild have been in. It'll be nice if we can get a couple guys back after the break, too. Not sure if anyone is that close to getting back on the ice.

Go WILD! :)

Can you provide proof of this. The only thing I saw was his facebook post where he tried to appear nuetral. He bagged on both sides dem and repub. While I have little doubt he is a conservative I dont think your statement is accurate.

Wings are killing it for sure. Sure the Sharks are kicking themselves over White. I liked him last year and was suprised they didnt try to keep him.

Here's the Thomas quote verbatim:

http://content.usatoday.com/communit...-celebration/1
"I believe the Federal government has grown out of control, threatening the Rights, Liberties, and Property of the People.
This is being done at the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial level. This is in direct opposition to the Constitution and the Founding Fathers vision for the Federal government.

Because I believe this, today I exercised my right as a Free Citizen, and did not visit the White House. This was not about politics or party, as in my opinion both parties are responsible for the situation we are in as a country. This was about a choice I had to make as an INDIVIDUAL.

This is the only public statement I will be making on this topic. TT
So as not to violate the terms of CA concerning politics I'll let you draw your own conclusions. Obviously I've already given my interpretation.

That was exactly my point Mike. You took a statement in which he didnt say anything anti Obama and said it was "rather anti Obama". A statement where he blames both parties for his dislike of the current state of the government. He blames both parties and never says Obama. You didnt say it was your opinion it was rather anti Obama. You stated it as fact. For that I felt the need to draw your attention to what I believe was an inaccurate statement.

Personal politics aside this drives me crazy and is often the source of much of both sides tactics.

Started watching the 2011 All Star Draft live, and saw Lidstrom at the beginning, and thought "Wings are playing tonight, WTF?". Then I remembered it was 2012.

Wings started their All Star break a day early just like the Hawks.

The thing about the Wings, and the reason I despise them as a Penguins fan is that you know last nights game was a fluke. They'll be back channeling the Red Army Teams of days gone by right after the Break.

I know the all-star game is all pretty much bs, but tell me how Kovalchuk, Parise, or Elias don't make the cut???

I think the two rookies who made the squad from the Devils stepping down was not from injuries, but to make a statement.

Lidstrom isn't on the All Star team this year. He's only the 2nd or 3rd best D-man in the league at age 41.

I saw the highlights of the Wings/Habs game. What a debacle. It definitely was one of those days that everything that can go wrong does.

I'm thinking some trades in the defensive categories are going to be coming up pretty soon for our Hawks. And I'm a fan of Crawford, but his numbers this year aren't so great. I know it's got a lot to do with the 5 guys in front of him but still.

Agreed, I think a good stay-at-home defenseman is Bowman's priority, though I guess he picked up Morrison as an insurance policy at center, at a relatively low cost. Be interesting to see who they bring into the fold, I was thinking Beauchemin before the Ducks signed him to that fat contract.

The Hawks - Canucks games was quite entertaining game from a strictly hockey perspective. Even more impressive was it being the first game back after the break.

Definitely some world class goal tending from each side throughout the whole game and both teams had plenty of chances.

I know the Hawks wanted the full two points but hopefully they can build on the good things as they move on to Edmonton and Calgary.

Awesome goaltending on both ends indeed, Matt. Sharp looked rusty, Toews didn't seem 100% yet, but besides Crawford, I thought Keith was superb. Stalberg looked really good until the giveaway. :hn

Did I mention I hate the Sedins?

Hopefully 4 points in the rest of Alberta. :tu

The Sedins have that gift were one can get lost in Dzone coverage and the other gets him the puck at the perfect time...sucks to be the goaltender at that point.

Boyle mentioned Nash was pissed. He wanted to fight Boyle last game 2-1 Sharks. Boyle declined. Boyle mentioned I guess he still wants to fight. :r

Absolutely DISGUSTING last 10:00 of the 3rd for the Wild last night. Up 4-1 at that point, and LOSE 5-4 in REGULATION. I wanted to PUKE.:pu

3rd goal for the Preds seemed like Harding had the puck covered and in control, but they kept jamming at his glove and knocked it in. Still, NO EXCUSE for falling that flat that fast! If this one doesn't light a fire, consider the season OVER. :(

Pens showed a lot last night, but that goal waved off in the first sucked for the Leafs. The refs blew that call. Was watching the Roots replay last night and even the Pens announcers were saying bad call. Early in the game but have to wonder if the outcome would have been different. It stuck out as it reminded me of the horrible Sharks Flames goal waved off a few weeks back where Jokinen ran into kipper but they blamed a Shark. That was in the last few minutes of the game though. Would be interesting to know if it was the same crew.

Edit
Curls for the girls is a new favorite. awesome :r

Apparently the Oilers have the Hawks number when in "The City of Champions"...17 goals in the back of the Hawks net in two meetings.

Sam Ganger put himself into quite the company with 8 points, only one of 13 players to score 8 or more points in a game.

Yup, 3rd Oiler to do it....just put his name with Gretzky and Coffey.

I was in the same boat as you.... In bed and fell asleep early in the 3rd. Love McLeod, though assume I would not be a fan of playing against him. Who did McLeod scrap with early....I didn't see him skate away from Kassian, though if he did...:sh

It was a really fun/intense game, better have your head up...:r Well, the final sucked though...:(

Save by Jiggy late in the second, when he was laying on some Minny player in his own net was simply amazing... Wish the Avs could have made it mean more than highlight material.
