I agree with Brad, Z&MMAP was possibly one of the most hilarious movies I've seen in a good bit.

I really like Kevin Smith's comedies. I wish he would make more. Chasing Amy is a classic as well. The Clerks movies were nothing but laughs. He deserves far more credit than he gets.

I'll watch Red State soon, but it's going to be hard to watch it looking for a laugh and all.

After watching Episode I in 3D, I went and bought the Star Wars Blu Ray. Watched the original film (Episode IV) tonight.
Even with the changes, Star Wars: A New Hope is one of the best of all time!

Now wait, I have enjoyed ALL of Smith's movies, including Jersey Girl....I just thought JASBSB was pretty retarded....fun, but retarded....and ZAMMAP was Kevin Smith trying to be Judd Apostle imo ......I will say both of those movies were 10x's better than Cop Out though.

Last night I.watched The Help...I really enjoyed it, I thought it was very well acted, directed and they paid attention to detail, which is something I watch for in period pieces.

Holy Flying Circus........Everyone who loves the work of Monty Python will love this look into what happened
when the Pythons tried to get their film Life of Brian in front of the british public, the outcry from the masses and
the eventual debate defending it against the church establishment on a BBC talk show. You should see the film and
then view the 4 part original TV show video on Youtube. Best movie I have seen in a few years.

From Paris With Love

Both better than expected -- Help was enjoyable, but story seemed a little underdeveloped. Paris was mindless, poorly acted, silly action sequences, predictable, but despite all that, entertaining.

Drive- great cinematography, really good movie. Some really gory scenes.

Dream House- not bad, kinda like Shutter Island but not as good

City of God- just bought this DVD. One of my all time favorite movies. Easily one of the best movies ever made.

I watched Just Friends yesterday. It was on TV and whenever I see that movie on there I HAVE to watch, I don't know why!

For a movie called Drive, I thought it would be action packed. It was pretty slow and deliberate. I was disappointed. It did have a "style" that I appreciated.

I found it strange, funny, and sad... a full range of emotions. I found it difficult to categorize.

It's a pretty good flick -- a little slow in parts. Gyllenhal has good chemistry with Anne Hatheway and you get to see A LOT of Anne (:D)).

You are right -- quite the spectrum of emotions there and the ending is predictable but worth the ride. And there are some pretty good funny moments as well.

Finished up Ides of March last night. I am not sure which way I fall on it. Some said it sucked, some said it
was good, some said it was just typical Clooney politics with a bad guy thrown in. I liked it, but it lacked
depth to me. Still, better than a sharp stick.

I watched "Double", a Richard Gere spy movie. It was really good, but kinda crumbled at the end. Ya know how sometimes there are pivotal lines that make all the difference, and they inevitably whisper or mumble them? This was one of them.

I saw "Kill The Irishman", too. I loved it. It was a gangster, bomb, "you gotta love this bad guy" movie. The acting, casting and camerawork was brilliant. It came off with a real early 70's feel without the early 70's suck.
One of the best movie efforts I have seen for a long, long time. I totally appreciated the talent of everyone involved, they truly put together something to be proud of despite an overdone, worn out storyline.
Did I say I loved it? I wish I'd have seen this on the big screen. I'll look for it in bluray, for sure. It's worth it. :tu :tu
