I don't think Jozy is on the CL roster.. I would love to see him though.

I'd rather have Sergio 'Kun' Aguero. Hell, give Micheal Owen an adamantium skeleton and I'll take him!

Re: The Official Soccer/Football/Futbol/Calcio thr

haha adamantium... riot.. Aguero is certainly a very good striker... I just remember the possibility of Poldolski from the summer transfer...
Jozy has a lot of work to do to make the starting squad for Villareal.

Re: The Official Soccer/Football/Futbol/Calcio thr

Don't get me wrong, I think Podolski is a great player, just whether he'd slot into the squad where we'd need him, we've got Voronin, and he and Podolski (IMO) are similar - whether he's better or not is a different question. Maybe we should give N'gog and Nemeth a chance, N'gog looks promising, and seems to get in the positions our other strikers can't.

Despite Mr Owen's seemingly cardboard skeleton, he's still the most prolific English footballer at this time - on average, scoring 1 goal every 2 games over his entire career. Including Spain. 398 total league and cup club appearances, 200 goals.

Ribery is awesome... too bad he's French. I can't really see him with the pink though, weird.

He might be the ugliest player since Tevez.

There is nobody uglier than Tevez. Although Ivan Campo gives him a run for his money.

pnoon, lump and JDB, what do y'all think about Andrea Dossena? I'm watching the 'pool v Marseille match and he's been so questionable at times, and then made a tackle on that may have saved a goal... but he just hasn't quite settled in English football.. can we have Riise back?

It was a shame to see Riise leave. Always liked his tenacity and ferocious left foot.

Dossena - not a fan.

Dossena seems to think Skrtl's haircut will help him. I don't think many players coming from 8 years of Serie A/Italian football will settle straight into Premiership style football, but give him a dozen or so more appearances, I reckon he'll become, at the very least, capable!

Re: The Official Soccer/Football/Futbol/Calcio thr

Dossena is definitely no Skrtel or Riise. He's just to inconsistent. While, I can live with some inconsistency in a striker that will just seem to get lost during games, that is not trait I like to see with my backs.

I have been pretty pleased with Agger's performance since Skrtel went down. He has made a couple mistakes on defense but on the whole played well and gives added pressure on the offensive send as a bonus.

Chelsea 1-2 Arsenal

Looks like it's the season to beat Chelsea at home. And Arsenal scored all the goals!
