Just found out Slash is the "special guest" at a Billy Idol show next week, trying to decide if it is worth $66 to see Slash play what will probably be a short opening set.

I have seen everyshow in MN since 10,000 days came out. I even saw the one at the Orpheum Theatre. Small and sooo awesome. Wish I could have seen some Lateralus shows. They are my favorite band.

Tool is a very impressive outfit for sure. I was really bummed I didn't get to see them at the X when they rolled through earlier this month.:(

The Billy Idol part is worth his portion of the ticket price, even today, provided you like Billy Idol.

As for the comment right after "tool", I only HOPED he got the joke, lol.

I am still undecided about the show....I would not pay $66 to see Billy Idol in 2010, but add Slash into the mix....it's a dilemma.

I went to a tour called cool tour recently. the lineup was war of ages (awesome) cancerbats (meh) architects (very good) the acacia strain (F***ing bad a**) bless the fall (very very good) between the buried and me (awesome beyond belief) unnderoath (good but not my cup of tea) and As I lay Dying (best).

Saw the Eminem/JayZ concert at Comerica Park on Friday night. Great show but the sound was subpar. I guess that's what you get for doing a rap concert in a baseball stadium, or any rap concert live for that matter. Rap music doesn't really translate from cd to live very well.

Dr. Dre, 50cent, D12, and Lloyd Banks all made appearances as well :)

Last night it was The Airborne Toxic Event @ Town Hall. It was an amazing show. I paid a little extra for the "Meet & Greet" package that included a live CD/DVD combo and about 30 minutes hanging with the band prior to the show. - Well worth it. They were all very cool and personable. I can't wait for the next album due out early 2011.

Went to Los Lonely Boys at the indian casino a while ago. They put on a great show. Had pretty low expectations going in and they blew me away..

Hampton's Bay Days was this past weekend.

Went and saw my boys "The New Familiars". another fine show by them.

This coming weekend will be jam packed full of music. i have VIP tickets to the Bristol Rhythm and Roots reunion.

Seen the Toadies last Wednesday 9/15 at a great little venue here in NYC...the Grammercy Theatre....they kicked ass as usual! :banger
