Well beyond the human-PC freakiness... at least you'll be safe as there aren't any replicating viruses from a Mac out there. :D

I might have to buy a new car so the laptop purchase is being delayed for now.. Although I wouldn't mind apple throwing in the quad core into the macbook in the mean time :D

:dr

want to see the pricing on the tablet. I've heard it's going to be in the $1,000 range, which seemed too pricey for my wants, that is until the ereader I was looking at (the Que from plastic logic), showed up at CES with a price tag of $800. If I'm looking at spending 800 on an ereader, than I'm spending 1,000 on a tablet instead

Curious....

Been so long since I used a PC for personal stuff.........

Do PC's now allow carefree, automatic scheduled or one touch manual, COMPLETE back up of your entire hardrive?
To include all programs and documents?
To include updating only changes since your last back up as opposed to having to copy all of it all over again?
To include allowing you to go back in time, at any given point, and retrieving any document you once had at that time, even if you have now deleted it, and restore it?

Time Machine does allow all of this.
Not sure why I need it since Macs don't seem to crash like PC's but nice to know I have it just in case.

Yes... Windows 7 has this. Vista Did as well. If you have an FTP, you can do off-site backup also. You can sync a folder, the OS, or everything.

Actually Windows NT had this in 1996.

I don't think so.
Not the way Time Machine does it.

As I remember it NT had auto backup, but what Blueface is referring to is when your computer crashes or gives an error, it allows you to revert to the last good configuration.
Now that I think of it, I had an XP laptop that did this automatically as well, but it wasn't the OS. It was a program called step-back or something like that.
