Anyone had 2011 Founders Devil Dancer yet? I've heard mixed reviews from people. Some off flavors this year I guess.

Nope but I still got 2 from 2010. Surprisingly how well its held up since the last time I had one.

I'm trying to remember if I saw this years or not.

Re: What beers are you enjoying?

I think it's around $20-$25 for a four pack in my area. I really enjoyed the 2010 release, but I'm still holding back on this years. I may trade for a bottle later.

The only beer we all didn't care for was the Avery 18. The rye was over the top. Red Poppy was amazing, as was Sanctification.

There is a decent amount of people that have been taking some shots at Big John for being to boozy, but for me I had NO problems with the booze. Great beer.

For sure, what I loved about it was a great Almond nut flavor on the finish.

If you've ever had Southern Tier Choklat, they are similar in profile. Although I prefer Big John, more depth and comlexity in the flavor.

I had some Schlafly American IPA Sunday night. It was good enough for me to be seeking out more for this weekend again. Hop heads will rejoice with this beer. It's been flying under the radar, but many good things in life fly under the radar:r

My highlight (other than hanging out with Tony)was my other buddy Matt pointing out that the Goose Island BC Vanilla was not being finished (~3 ounces left) and sitting out warm:eek: , so I put it back in the cooler. Then later when Tony opened the Parabola and I had tried it, we mixed the two in a glass. It was very good, and fun to know that statistically speaking no one in the world was drinking that specific beer right then...if ever. :r

Good times indeed. :tu

Russian River Consecration. Boy this very different. Probably needs to be aged a lot more to mellow out the flavours.

They're usually (depending on the particular batch) a year old by the time they are bottled. What flavors need to be mellowed out?

BTW, this is one of the few RR sours I have not had, I'm overdue for ordering a couple bottles.
