All right! Now lets play some football:tu

Re: Packer fan thoughts
30 minutes to Phoenix! :tu
I like most of what I see so far. |
Re: Packer fan thoughts
Packers have certainly outplayed the Seahawks in the first half, but I have high hopes for a second half comeback :)
|
Re: Packer fan thoughts
1. Whatever that retarded defensive playcall was on 3rd & 19, that one needs to wind up in the shredder.
2. AJ Hawk gave up a touchdown pass to a backup offensive lineman. Newsflash, AJ Hawk still sucks swollen nuts. |

I haven't sat down all game. Hell of a game and we're going into OT...

Re: Packer fan thoughts
After 55 minutes of mediocre play, Seattle WINS in overtime!!!!!!
:wo :wo |
Re: Packer fan thoughts
What a collapse at an EPIC level. Three straight TD drives, that 2 point conversion, the inability to hold onto an onsides kick.... I'm in shock.... In the words of Jack Buck.... " I can't believe what I just saw!"

Couldn't punch it in on a couple of Seahawk turnovers early in the game for 6. Jordy Nelson losing a pass in the end zone. #42 Burnett for GB catches a tipped pass for an INT, but only runs a short ways, and then goes for the slide? I don't understand that. Are you not suppose to gain as many yards as possible on an INT? #86 Bostick jumping up to attempt to catch the onside kick, and for some reason, lets the ball hit him in the helmet? Was he afraid of getting injured if he catched it? I guess that's my only gripes. It was a great game up until the end and for some reason, the pressure was taken off the Seahawks. Congratulations to the Seahawks and their fans. You deserve going to Phoenix:tu |
Re: Packer fan thoughts
I'm thoroughly disgusted with Green Bay.
5 field goals. Couldn't take advantage of 4 Wilson picks. Lose in overtime. They just played uninspired football on offense. The D was monster until they got gassed, and that sure wasn't their fault. They gave the offense the ball more than often enough to keep them fresh. Oh well. It'd be nice to see Russ Wilson get another ring. He's a good kid. |

Though not looking good, would just as soon see Andrew Luck win a ring. Guess Bobby Wagner and Robert Turbin winning another would not be bad. It will be tough for me to hope either the Seahawks or Patriots win another Super Bowl. |

Re: Packer fan thoughts
They lost that game in the first half, the offense simply did not lose the deal. The defense was stellar until the last few minutes.

Can you imagine how different the game would have been if all those would have been touchdowns? I do not know what the final score would have been, but that would have been a different game. |

McCarthy's younger brother, Joe, dies Wednesday at age 47
http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/289371661.html This kind of puts things into perspective. |
Re: Packer fan thoughts
That's awful news, Larry.
Prayers to the McCarthy family. They have to be stunned sick. |

Re: Packer fan thoughts
I was a big Hawk fan. Great guy, no question. Not entirely fair, but I always felt just a little disappointed in his play. He was solid, when I wanted spectacular, I guess. Seems his name was never called on a tackle for a loss. Schemes weren't meant for him to be that penetrating LB that I wanted him to be. I do wish him the best and believe he's got a couple more good years in him....hopefully somewhere other than NFC North.

Nice guy and a fan favorite when it came to interacting with the fans. My son was into painting and sketching the Packers players when he first came to GB. I actually have an original canvas he did of AJ that he was kind enough to autograph. My son also did some pencil sketches that AJ proudly displays in his mancave. |

Packers re-sign both Cobb and Bulaga. Happy to see them both return.

Re: Packer fan thoughts
Love to have Cobb back, but I'm a bit surprised the Pack swallowed that bill. BTW, how much did he leave on the table? Haven't heard what other offers he had.
|
Re: Packer fan thoughts
For no rational reason, I'm excessively saddened that Abbrederis suffered another concussion yesterday. I know that he may never even start, but I really want for him to be successful in GB and this news just sort of distresses me a little more than it should.

Re: Packer fan thoughts
Fortunately for the Packers, there is no 5th down available for the San Diego Chargers:banger
For me, it was a nail biter as I only was able to listen on radio this afternoon... |
Re: Packer fan thoughts
Unreal box score:
Combined passer stats: 59 of 94 for 918 yards!! 4 TD's and zero INT's. Unfortunately, it wasn't on here, either....had to follow the little football up and down the field on ESPN's app thingy |
Re: Packer fan thoughts
Was able to watch most of the game. But the Pack are back on Attack!! :D
|
Re: Packer fan thoughts
Well, the last 60 seconds of the 4th Quarter was fairly hair raising (what hair I do have on top of my head):D
It was great to see the D step forwards during the final seconds of play:tu A week off for a bye and then its prep time and off to Denver to play the Broncos:noon |

Re: Packer fan thoughts
Anyone see anything even a little bit positive about last night? Shocking to me that Rodgers was probably as big a problem as any. Was he hung over? Almost like he was playing scared. Scared to throw an interception. Scared he was going to get hit (understandably.) Scared (or unwilling or unable) to accurately read defense and change up the call. I'm a big Rodgers fan, but that performance was pathetic. As were the lines, and the secondary. I have to wonder if we won't look back and think that 6-0 against lousy teams meant nothing. I'm not panicking, but I can't believe I'm nervous about having to face the Vikings twice yet.
|
Re: Packer fan thoughts
One thing for sure, we got our a $$' handed to us by Denver. Denver came ready to play and the Packers looked anything but ready.
Props to the Broncos D for keeping the Packers O off balanced and out of sync. Heck of a job. The Packers were simply out played by a more motivated team, and possibly healthier team too. I agree with you Dave, there were many times the cameras were on A.Rodgers, and he looked like a deer caught in the headlights of an on coming truck. That truck being the Denver D... |
Re: Packer fan thoughts
Denver's secondary is stout, guys.
Their D is nothing to sneeze at, across the board. With nobody open, what's a brother to do? You gotta get tired of getting squashed. And, as Stephen said, you gotta be healthy if you're gonna stand up against a team like the Broncos. The game was kind of a rip-off. If everyone was healthy, it had all the makings of one hell of a game. |

"We had an opportunity for a pitch-and-catch touchdown, and I got scared by something. I can't explain. It was a mistake for me, and something I'll think about on the ride home. I don't know who was in my face; all I know is I had Randall (Cobb) wide open for a touchdown." -- Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers
I didn't watch yesterday....so any insight from someone who did would be appreciated. But by AR's own admission, he actually is scared....um, Aaron...I was just kidding....really. |
Re: Packer fan thoughts
You guys should take a minute to watch this episode of Dude Perfect.
If you're not familiar with Dude Perfect, it's a YouTube thing where guys set up and make all kinds of bizarre trick shots. Aaron Rodgers and Chris Paul are in this one. I've watched a number of episodes along the way, but this one is by far the best. Super cool. :tu |
Re: Packer fan thoughts
Keeping my fingers crossed for a Packer win today, and hoping they brought their "game bag" with them:tu
Too bad for the Vikings this morning. Was hoping their kicker was going to make that chip shot, but.... ....GO PACK GO:tu |
Re: Packer fan thoughts
Thought I'd revive this thread. Not much has been positive this season, there are woes, but hope springs eternal.
They have been looking better though for the last 2 weeks. Am looking forward to see how they will handle Seahawks this Sunday. Peace of the Lord be with you. |
Re: Packer fan thoughts
OK, so now everybody is talking the Packers in the Super Bowl. I am not sure about that, but they are looking better.
Wilson was sure PO'd about his Packer performance and is taking it out on the Rams tonight! |
Re: Packer fan thoughts
Good to know that we're in the Super Bowl already:rolleyes::D
We still have the Bear's in Chicago, the Vikings at Lambeau, and the Lions in Detroit to contend with. Agree, Packers looking good and confident. Need's to stay that way too. Should be a good home game against the Vikings! |

Re: Packer fan thoughts
Didn't watch but saw the "highlights". Once again, the Bears snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory. :lr
|
Re: Packer fan thoughts
I do not like nail-biter games. It was a lot closer than it needed to be for my tastes. Although, it was a game you had to watch till the end.
