It's a double-dose of NCIS for me tonight. Win or lose, I've enjoyed this season, and college hoops is just around the corner.

Hey fellas, it's just a game. :D

Yankees strike first with a Jeter 2-run double.

AJ made it 5 innings so far and only gave up 1 run. I will take that. :tu

Nice win (lambasting) by the Yankees.

Hoping Fister brings his good stuff to NY.

If I didn't like him so much, I'd wish he had put himself out for Game 5. ;) :r

To say the least. I mean he did misjudge that ball in the first and made it a very difficult catch, but if he doesn't make it, the game could have gone very different. That at very least is a 2 run double with men on 2nd and 3rd, and with how all over the place AJ was in the first, who knows if he gets through the first.

Re: New York Yankees 2011

You guys are right on. If Grandy doesn't come up with that missle in the first, AJ might not have gone the distance.

Nice win by the Yanks. Porcello wasn't bad, but wasn't lights out either.

Austin Jackson should have had at least one of those RBI hits into center. Plus, if he could manage at least one hit in a 5 game series it would be nice.

V-Mart got the solo, but hasn't done much else. Betemit looks hurt as does Avila.

Fister needs his A game and the bats need to wake from their slumber. Go Tigers!

Nice win last night. Got ugly late, though. I'm hoping that sixth inning where everybody got some hits will have lingering effects for tomorrow.

Go Yankees!

Blew an even bigger chance just now ! Can A-rod or Tex just come up with one big hit already.

Basesloaded twice tonight with 1 out and they score 1 run on a walk. They do not deserve to win with hitting like that.

Good series Yanks. Valverde looked like himself in that 9th.

Shouldn't have come down to it considering the amount of guys they had in scoring position but holding up alex at third in the forth inning probably cost us a run. The tigers deserved the game their pitching was as clutch as clutch gets.

Girardi's revolving bullpen door almost worked.

Now the off-season starts for the Yankees. Will CC opt out? Has Posada played his last game for the Yankees? Is Cashman staying as GM? Where will they find some more starting pitching? Are they going to pick up Swisher's option? Is it worth putting a contract out on A-Rod?

And why would I be? I believe I made it clear that I was already happy with this season, and am never discontented to get a little gravy as opposed to a whole boatload.

Understand this: People who "hate" the Yankees claim they do so because they spend so much money, but that's not true. They do so because the Yankees have had success while spending money to accomplish this. Were they as ineffective as, say, the Os or Mets . . . or even the Red Sox over the past 2 years of missing the playoffs entirely . . . no one would give a damn how much they spend.

Understand this too: The Yankees have won more post-season games than any other MLB franchise. The Yankees have also LOST more post-season games than any other MLB franchise, so a rational fan has become inured to that fact. But perhaps, as a Tar Heel, I have that advantage over many others . . . I've been there many March days, as well as many October evenings. :r

The Yankees have started to work on the first contact of the off-season as they work to resign Brian Cashman.

The Yankees can now offcially start the off-season. Brian Cashman and the Yankees have agreed on a 3 year contract extension. Cashman's first goal now is to get CC a new contract before he opts out.

Madoff killed the Mets chances of getting really good players. Heck, we're even making our ballpark smaller to attract the peewee players!

Yankees declined the option on Brackman's contract. He is now a free agent. Still a chance the Yankees resign him but at more of a minor league price since it was obvious he is not ready for the big leagues yet.

Cano was a no brainer, Swisher i'm not so sure about. I love his attitude but the Yankees have to many guys who die come the post season. Swish is pretty good during the regular season but he sucks come October.
