Nice game for the Hawks:D

Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
Tough loss for the Caps last night in the shootout. After the first period, I thought they had a handle on the Flyers.
Cheers, G |
Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
Nice come back by the B's last. To bad they lost it in the shootout.
The Kings Look good |

Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread

I don't know Coli personally but from the sounds of major people in the media he is a stand up guy. The media could have really run with the story and lambasted him, but most of them acknowledged that the e-mails were dumb but did not question his integrity. Most of the top figures in hockey reverberated the above. That being said from a total fan perspective it is hard to trust Coli and weather he his making decisions without bias. The NHL obviously has tried to make this a non-story but the public has been pretty critical about the situation. Campbell isn't really helping the situation out as he vehemently disagrees that he should apologize to all involved. I am kinda of siding with those people wanting an apology. Colin Campbell really has no business talking about his son, in that way with the head of officiating. Once thing is forsure Campbell did learn a valuable lesson about the privacy of emails. |
Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
Campbell is a tool.

Savard has said it is a "non-issue". Marc is a class act.

Nash with another goal, 13th so far :tu
Mason had a nice game in net, picked up a couple timely saves. 2-0 Jackets win over the Predators :noon Count it, 4 in a row |
Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
Nash is a helluva hockey player, I've seen him play live several times in Chicago. Off to a good start too.

Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
I look a the standings on the year and while I knew LA would be good I had no idea. Didnt see the jackets being this good. Look at the lightning. I do like it though as its nice to see a shake up.
I hate to say it but I think Marty B may finally be at the end of the line. He has looked real bad this year and now hes hurt. |
Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
I think it is interesting how the West has worked out so far. The top 13 teams are within 7 points of eachother, only 2 real bottom feeders

Some interesting stats there. Stamkos likes to score on the road and Semin likes to score at home |

Only Philly has more points (30 to 28) but they've played 4 more games than the Wings. Wing's are 8-1-1 in the last 10. |
Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
Yeah Wings are on a tear. I have not looked at who they have been playing as to whether the teams they are beating have a winning record or not. Either way though they are definetly winning the games they need to.

Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
Good game between the Sharks and Hawks tonight. Was glad to see the Sharks get the win. Was also glad to see the Sharks out hit the Hawks and have the majority share of big hits. There were a couple of really big clean hits by Murray and even Marleau. Scotty played the pest to a T drawing penalties and throwing his body everywhere. My wife had a laugh on one hit where a Hawk basically threw him down. He still kept going though. I think this sets the table for the next meeting as the Sharks will play the Hawks in Chicago after playing the night before in Minn. I dont think they will fair as well in that meeting. Then they fly to LA for a game. Will be a tough stretch.
Been watching Clowe fight this year. He is turning into a Bull http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3UU13F_BH0 Hey how about those Thrashers I said it last week and saying it again. They are building a great young team down there. |
Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
Blue Jackets are looking good so far, as are those Thrashers.
Congrats on the Sharks win tonight, Mike....you guys can will all the regular season games, and we can.....well. ;) |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0Ys0...e_gdata_player Hey at this point I am just wanting this to light a damn spark in this team and Niemi. The inside info I have was his comments and showing up with his Hawks helmet to camp resulted in some tension between him and the sharks. There was definitely not a warm reception for him. Would like to see these guys bond and this was the kind of game that might do it. Also want to see the Thrashers be this years Coyotes and get some good attendance. Then we can see people call for the Panthers or Coyotes to get moved. Now that fugly isn't in the West I can cheer for him. I like some of the players on the Thrash and its nice to see them relevant. |

Christ Avs, Finish them off.............

Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
E.J., after watching the last few Avs games, I have to say I am really impressed with Kevin Shattenkirk and Greg Mauldin. Along with all the other great young players the Avs have, they should be a force for several years if they can find the money to pay them all as time goes on.

As for the game, it was fun. The Columbus forwards were just a step behind the Detroit defenders when it came to loose picks around/front of the net. Some good goaltending on both sides tonight as well. I will say something else, Columbus was able to play their style game. The didn't spend the whole night chasing around Detroits forwards as in the past. Just lacked that little jump. |
