Magic needed to win last night. Lakers did not play their best last night but still won. Kobe needed to pass on the shot in the last seconds of regulation. He had 4 guys on him, and at least someone else would have gotten a clean look.

Can the Magic win one?

I hope so. Last time they were here, Houston swept them.

That was a lot of fun, probably the largest spontaneous public celebration I've ever witnessed or been a part of.

However, that was years ago and this a completely different team. I still think the jury is out as to whether or not they are good enough to win. One thing is for sure though. the psychological weight of falling behind in a series only grows larger as the other team's lead expands.

I'll be flipping between the Magic/Lakers game and the Yankees/Redsox games tonight and probably getting doubly upset.

Too early to say it's a series again, but at least the Magic got the "winless in the finals" monkey off their back. Finally some great shooting from the guards.

Had fate been kinder to Orlando, this could easily be 2-1 in Orlando's favor, but someone missed Gasol goaltending at the end of game 2.

Lakers are one tough team.

Re: NBA Playoffs

That was definitely not goaltending by Gasol. He barely touched the rim. He would have had to pull the net/rim and move it for it to be goaltending. It clearly says it in the rules. yep I looked it up

Kobe had a bad finish in that game. Oh well it is part of life. For every one game he has like that he has 5 others that he dominates. I believe this will be over in 5, at the most 6.

Missing 5 freethrows for Kobe is a good indicator he was a bit off...

Well, Phil Jackson was quoted in the paper as saying it was "basket interference" and went on to say the rule is archaic, but still was interference nonetheless.

Then again, he IS NOT the all knowing Greekgod who has been spot on from the start.:r

At least Orlando got their "first ever" NBA Championship Series win...might be their last, at least in this series.
