The TAA Tatoo is less full with a smooth tart tangy earthiness over a brown label binder so earthiness, hint of cedar and pepper. The TAA is closer to the Medium side of a Med-full. I would say these TAA cigars are starting to mellow now since ROTT so I'm probably going to smoke more until they are gone as age is starting to negatively effect them for myself but they are still very good and I have about six left. Had my first CAO Gold Maduro Robusto earlier.
'Twas very good and I may just need to order another CAO Gold sampler to figure out if I prefer the normal CAO Gold Robustos or their Maduro Gold Robustos....or both?? ;) Side note: Because of a crappy cut I had some wrapper unravelling by the head of the cigar. So it gave me a perfect opportunity to break out this little guy that I had bought awhile back and try it for the first time. http://ep.yimg.com/ay/careysmokeshop...by-credo-7.gif Saved my cigar and worked like a charm. :D |

Enjoyed a Nica Rustica at a new (to me) B&M in Minneapolis today. Great lounge only unfortunate thing was the prices were brutal even for our area.
I also had the pleasure of meeting John (Black Coral) who had just flown into town for business and got to sit down for a smoke with him. Great guy and great cigars. Hope to burn another with you when you are in town again John. Safe driving up north! |

Had my last CAO Gold Robusto from my sampler a few hours ago.
Was kinda boring to be honest. I'd have to say that overall the best CAO Gold I've had so far that wasn't a maduro was the CAO Gold Corona. |

Last night was a Fuente Opus X 6 1/4 x 48 and it burned really strangely. About 1/3 in the wrapper split about 3/3 of the way up and had a bump of tobacco looking like it was going to burst right out. At this point is was a little out of character taste wise.
I kept smoking though,and the breech did not get any worse. When I started to smoke through that section it was an amazing cigar for taste and fullness, yet still a medium strength. I was really enjoying that section and hoping the rest would be the same. When I got through that section it changed again to the regular O X cigar. It was about 2yr old and humidor is at 71% and 68 deg so there should be no problem there. I really took my time smoking this one, it never got hot. Anyone have any insight? Thanks 2 nights ago I had a CAO Brasilia and was not too impressed. Possibly it was a bit dry though because I had just bought it on the Friday before. |

Man O War Ruination - big ring gauge and it doesn't work for me so smoking these often of late as a second cigar. Devil site win at a great price but next time I will check ring gauge.

A very special evening. No pics (couldn't pull out a camera or phone in this bario anyway).
Shared a final pair of SLR A's and a local Venezuelan beer with my Father-in-law after an early Christmas dinner. In 36 hours I'll be on a plane back to the US, and I don't know when I'll be able to come back here or see him again. It was... a very meaningful smoke. |
