The Blues, Look Legit right now.
They Played the Bruins last week or so when the B's where playing really well, and they came in and shut them down.
I mean Loosing 7-3 to is a major butt Kicking But I don't think that will happen that often.
I don't follow the West that much. I mean why waste your Time with an Inferior League.....:noon:D

Ya nice comeback. Too bad the ref's and instant replay guys all left their glasses at home and did'nt see that goal go in with the stick "below the bar". I dont know what views they had but it was pretty obvious he struck the puck below the bar. :su

I watched the game and saw all the angles they were showing the TV viewers....I didn't see any angle that showed definitively that the puck was below the crossbar, and I don't have a dog in the fight.

Long story short Sharks had no business winning the game. They took a 1-0 lead on the first shift then Col took a double minor for highstick, a obstruction penalty, and a 3rd penalty was cut short from the Sharks taking a penalty. They had roughly 7 min of near consecutive pp time and did nothing. The Avs buried their chance. For the Sharks to leave the first tied 1-1 showed me they would lose and I let the kids watch their shows.

1/4 of the season and this team is showing it has a ton of talent, but still only a few players have heart and majority are not the stars so that means this year will be the same as always. Make the playoffs and flop in the second or third round.

I think your pretty screwed.
Talent wise lets be homesteaded , and they will be pissed after letting a game like that get away. I expect an onslaught and your goalie better be ready to answer the bell. We shall see.

Stars v. Sharks is always entertaining.

Lehtonen has been GREAT for us this year. He has to be when you have such a mediocre defense.

I am confused...what did the "Anthem Fail" in Ottawa have to do with Luke's daughter's suicide?

Listened to the highlights, that line of Lucic, Horton and Bergeron was on fire.

The Manitoba Moose have sold 13,500 tickets for tonights game vs the IceHogs.

Likely going to out drawn the Thrasher's tonight...man the NHL needs to get back to Winnipeg.

Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread

I don't think the NHL should have gone back to Atlanta and don't think they should go back to Winnipeg. Both failed once. I would argue Quebec way before Winnipeg as I think they would stand a better chance. Hell I think Seattle should get a franchise before a prior failure.

This has been beaten to death though and the NHLs stance is clear. Funny last year it was Phoenix, then they iced a winning team and things changed. Now its other teams. But hey a few year's ago not many were going to Hawks games and Bruins and look now. This whole non traditional hockey market argument t falls on its face when a winning team is iced or the management group handles things right. I will place San Jose's attendance numbers up against any team in the league for the past 12+ years with a similar sized arena and in most cases a bigger arena. Even when the team was average and kind of bad numbers were and are good. The fact that a team couldn't survive in a hockey market says a lot more then struggling in a non hockey market during bad years.

With the pieces the Atlanta added this year they are building and should start drawing. Next year maybe people will go after Florida, Tampa's out can't use them.

Didn't you make the same pitch last year, but it was against the coyotes? Someone from the great north did.

Avs told them they have absolutely no interest in resigning Craig beyond this year. Not sure if it is a low-balling negotiation ploy, or if they truly have another direction for the future.

You're right....not happy. I would HATE to lose him....

I will have to assume that it is 100% negotiation, I cannot believe that they would have any intention of not making a strong run at him....though maybe I am being naive?

It definitely could be a negotiating ploy, E.J. Craig's agent told our friend that the Avs were planning on benching him before he got hurt, trying to diminish his perceived value. I feel bad for Craig, I think he has proved himself enough over the last 3 seasons that he shouldn't be getting dicked with like this. :2

Agree 100%.... Andersons' play made the Avs last year.... He made up for A LOT of mistakes the kids were making early.....pretty much carried that team the first half of the season.

Though Budaj played well in his absence, he is no Anderson.... Nothing coming up....I just don't see how they don't make a strong run at him:confused:
