Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
Wasn't a malicious hit in any way, I don't even think it should have been flagged. Plus, I thought it was a completion. Regardless, not good.

Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
Collie is sitting up in the
Locker room supposedly just a concussion which is good news While I agree it wasn't as vicious as a hit as others we've seen lately, bottom line is the defender was leading with his helmet. If youre tivoing the game it's pretty easy to See, and he actually dips his head right before he hits Collie in the head. Said it before and I'll say it again. You can't have a helmet to helmet hit if you're not leading with your helmet. It has to get through to these guys that the helmet isn't to be used as a weapon before somebody winds up in a wheelchair |
Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
Tough game, but I don't feel too bad losing at Philly. Tamme is coming on, minus the drop on final drive, that hurt. James is finding the endzone which is good because Brown obviously has a sore vagina. 5 of first 8 on the road, ton of injuries and still tied for division lead.
I will take that at the half-way point. I do like Blair White getting some plating time. Collie will be out a few weeks I bet, but glad that he is ok for the most part. This commentary brought to you by The Glass Half Full Project. |
Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
"Jane, you ignorant slut.":r
Tough stretch coming up. Patsies in two weeks then the Chargers the following week. Still have two against Tennessee, At least we have Cincy and Dallas to get healthy on.:D |
Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
Need D to step up here in the 4th. Going to be close.
|
Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
It is spooky, I am like Carnac in here. I swear, I hit post and 5 seconds later Hagler gets the INT. Don't think it will be a pick 6, but inside the 15.
|
Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
Another INT. Game over.
|
Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
Oy.
|
Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
Wow. Almost refs almost stole one from us on that onside kick. Garcon clearly had the ball and was down, don't know how they ****ed that up.
|
Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
Hard to believe an onside kick can't be reviewed. Competition committee needs to look at that. I understand can't tell in a scrum who got ball, but if you can see player with ball and knee on ground, seems logical to review that part of it.
I don't know who made that call on 4th and 2 to try and draw them off, Manning or Caldwell, could have done without it. Cost 20+ seconds to do it. Bad. Can't give second chances like that with the injuries they have. |
Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
At least no one got hurt.
|
Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
Wow. 5 penalties already on the Colts, one of the least penalized teams in the league. and......ZERO penalties on the Pats?
Come on, I am not one of those people who believes "the fix is in", but since we all know you can call a penalty on every single play if you want, when one team has all of the penalties........ |
Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
Damn near...
|
Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
Good game, glad to see some fight in the boys. Would have at least had OT, but what ya gonna do? 3 point loss in New England, move to the next week and know you let one maybe slip away.
|
Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
No rest either. The 'Bolts are next, then a resurgent Cowboy team.

Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
disappointing to say the least. Ah well.
I wish I had the stomach to read some of the news articles on this game today, almost seemed as if on each of those 3 ints Manning was expecting his receiver to be someplace else. Still not happy with the play clock management. WTH does Manning have against using timeouts? It's like he wants to store them all up and save them, LOL |

Not surprising because I've never bought that argument. Manning making one of his "faces" doesn't mean he's blaming somebody else, just that he's upset at the result of the play. Still, this one's gonna smart a little for a while. Really thought he would pull it out. And if Hagler doesn't drop that pick..........:sh |
Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
Good looking drive so far....

I am dying to hear from the ref why that pick by Weddle wasn't PI. I hate complaining about refs, but this one warrants a gripe.
|
Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
I love a good Manning choke job.
You know the difference between Manning and Tiger? Manning's been able to keep his honeys on the down low. |
Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
Maybe next time we can get the Chargers in September.
I hate them. Of all the Charger losses, this one is the ugliest. |
Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
Peter's on cloud nine about now. Congrats to the Chargers on a win. Sorry to Vic and the fans on a loss.

Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
Vic and Sean, there is still time to come over to the dark side.:r:r:tu

Not a real fun read, but it does contain some facts.

Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
Yup...it's all coming out now.
Funny though, how all this predictability, weakness, etc. is only coming to light now that we are fighting through the injury plague. It's not like a big secret we can;t run the ball or Peyton will check off to the TE more often than not. Not ready to jump off the ledge just yet...:D |

And so it begins...
My local paper's sports columnist is calling for Caldwell's head. Even managed to take shots at St. Tony.:r And finally a decent column from the Star's Kravitz.. http://www.indystar.com/article/2010....com|default|p |

Ok this made me laugh...
Item "k", from Peter King's "Ten Things I Think I Think" k. Nickname of the Week, by profoptballtalk.com's Mike Florio: "Bitter-Beer Face.'' For Peyton Manning. |
Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
Well, for the evening I can feel good that I am not a Jets fan right now. What a let down, I thought tonight would be a good game.
|
Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
Tonight was a great game for those who enjoy watching the Colts fans/Pats haters, particularly after their golden boy has fallen like a lead balloon as of late.

Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
I am not posting to pick on Peyton, I do have a concern. Is it possible that he is hurt and is trying to play through it? Seems to have fallen apart kind of suddenly. Hope that he improves Thursday.

Re: The Horseshoe Mafia
This off season it is going to take more than a draft class to get things corrected. Indy will have to do more in free agency than previous years. With a potential lockout, I am not sure how that will affect the FA market.
