Definitely not like the other helmet to helmet's we've seen.

Wasn't a malicious hit in any way, I don't even think it should have been flagged. Plus, I thought it was a completion. Regardless, not good.

Collie is sitting up in the
Locker room supposedly just a concussion which is good news

While I agree it wasn't as vicious as a hit as others we've seen lately, bottom line is the defender was leading with his helmet. If youre tivoing the game it's pretty easy to
See, and he actually dips his head right before he hits Collie in the head.

Said it before and I'll say it again. You can't have a helmet to helmet hit if you're not leading with your helmet. It has to get through to these guys that the helmet isn't to be used as a weapon before somebody winds up in a wheelchair

Re: The Horseshoe Mafia

Tough game, but I don't feel too bad losing at Philly. Tamme is coming on, minus the drop on final drive, that hurt. James is finding the endzone which is good because Brown obviously has a sore vagina. 5 of first 8 on the road, ton of injuries and still tied for division lead.

I will take that at the half-way point. I do like Blair White getting some plating time. Collie will be out a few weeks I bet, but glad that he is ok for the most part.

Tough stretch coming up. Patsies in two weeks then the Chargers the following week. Still have two against Tennessee, At least we have Cincy and Dallas to get healthy on.:D

It is spooky, I am like Carnac in here. I swear, I hit post and 5 seconds later Hagler gets the INT. Don't think it will be a pick 6, but inside the 15.

Re: The Horseshoe Mafia

Wow. Almost refs almost stole one from us on that onside kick. Garcon clearly had the ball and was down, don't know how they ****ed that up.

jaycarla 11-14-2010 03:21 PM

Re: The Horseshoe Mafia

Hard to believe an onside kick can't be reviewed. Competition committee needs to look at that. I understand can't tell in a scrum who got ball, but if you can see player with ball and knee on ground, seems logical to review that part of it.

I don't know who made that call on 4th and 2 to try and draw them off, Manning or Caldwell, could have done without it. Cost 20+ seconds to do it. Bad. Can't give second chances like that with the injuries they have.

Wow. 5 penalties already on the Colts, one of the least penalized teams in the league. and......ZERO penalties on the Pats?

Come on, I am not one of those people who believes "the fix is in", but since we all know you can call a penalty on every single play if you want, when one team has all of the penalties........

disappointing to say the least. Ah well.

I wish I had the stomach to read some of the news articles on this game today, almost seemed as if on each of those 3 ints Manning was expecting his receiver to be someplace else.

Still not happy with the play clock management. WTH does Manning have against using timeouts? It's like he wants to store them all up and save them, LOL

For those who say Peyton tends to pass the responsibilty around...

Well, that does explain why he was expecting the receiver to be elsewhere. Way to man up.

Not surprising because I've never bought that argument. Manning making one of his "faces" doesn't mean he's blaming somebody else, just that he's upset at the result of the play.

Still, this one's gonna smart a little for a while. Really thought he would pull it out.

And if Hagler doesn't drop that pick..........:sh

You know the difference between Manning and Tiger? Manning's been able to keep his honeys on the down low.

Yup...it's all coming out now.

Funny though, how all this predictability, weakness, etc. is only coming to light now that we are fighting through the injury plague. It's not like a big secret we can;t run the ball or Peyton will check off to the TE more often than not.

Not ready to jump off the ledge just yet...:D

No jumping for me either. They will win the division and host at least one game, I have no doubt. Just keep treading and stay in front until some people come back. Gotta beat the Pokes this week though.

I think it's more of "I can carry the team." And he has found out, he can't do it alone. He has taken more of a beating this year. Cris Collinsworth noted, and the NBC cameras were more than happy to show, Peyton is "uncomfortable" under pressure moreso than in the past.:D

This off season it is going to take more than a draft class to get things corrected. Indy will have to do more in free agency than previous years. With a potential lockout, I am not sure how that will affect the FA market.

I don't think the Colts will run any better by picking Rhodes back up. I don't think the Colts have an OL capable of run blocking.
