I used to bartend and I love muddling some fresh jalapenos and tossing them in the shaker and then mixing the marg with the peppers. Makes such a good margarita!

Got turned on to a new rum on a little sojourn to Puerto Rico last week: Dos Mederas 5 + 5. Supposedly aged five years in the Caribbean then finished for another five back in Spain. It was silky smooth with the right amount sweetness for me, and no burn. Easy sipping all day long.

Managed to grab a couple of bottles of Blantons this week. I am hearing EHT Straight Rye is hitting the shelves soon. On the hunt for one or two of those.
