:tu I really enjoyed this one. Once you get by the weirdness of it, it's a great book.

The Necronaut: Michael R. Pilinski
Not a great book. I'm very tempted to do an edit and send it back to the author/publisher. The story line is actually kinda cool. The language feels like a smarter than average 10th grader wrote it with the Thesaurus right next to him...."Lets see how many big words I can put in here". With an edit and some tightening up, this could be a decent book.

Lee Child does a pretty good job of keeping a story moving along. Some authors will get bogged down and then not know how to work their way out of the "bog"...

The best thing for me is that these books are not deep (don't require a lot of extra thought) and are very entertaining -- makes it easy to put down and pick up again (convenient for reading in whatever timeslots I have available). Good Escape reading :D

I am going to start that as soon as I finish the Wheel of Time series (last book due out in January -- I will reread the whole thing which will take a few days () as it is just over 11,000 pages before the last book).

Casual Vacancy. J.K. Rowling's follow up to the Harry Potter series. I don't have very high hopes for it but I owe it to her to see if she can write anything else since I devoted much of my childhood to Harry Potter

Huge fan of the series. GRRM has a way of taking what you love and dashing it against the rocks. It can be infuriating. Ike and Tina...he smacks you around and you keep coming back for more.

Neal Stephenson is the man. Anathem is my favorite. Reamde is quite good. Cryptonomicon and Snow Crash are really good as well.
