Re: Walking Dead Season 3
I am not sure that 'the fans' are the reason Morgan came back for closure. He is not done in this story, now that
he has been re-established. We will see him again soon enough. I am caught up now, having burned 11 & 12 to DVD last night and watching it all. That was SOOO messed up with the screaming hitchhiker. I knew there was only one way for that to go in the end, and I knew they were going to go right where they did with it. I never liked Andrea, and after Epi 12 I think the book is closed on her with me. She could have done a great thing, and now I am left to wonder if the Gov is just a 'family farm' where we are going to waste another 5-6 episodes and cliff- hang on it. That would be awfully disappointing. But its their show, they can determine the pace and I would gladly watch more, not like LOST, where I knew after one season that I was being jerked around (and STILL watched all of it like a freaking fool.) Merle behaved himself. I love the actor, I love the character. He does seem to be eerily biding his time, but maybe he is realizing that if he loves his brother, for once, the younger might have something to teach the elder. We'll see. I think they find a way to marter him, (intentionally mis-spelled to prevent En-Ess-Ay filtering of my online postings.) saving the group somehow, MAYBE with the Gov in a showdown where they both die? |
Re: Walking Dead Season 3
I thought last nights episode sucked dog balls. Nothing came of it...except for Glenn and Maggie getting it on in the docking bay. The whole "one upping" between Darryl and Martinez while they were knocking off zombies. :r :r :r

Re: Walking Dead Season 3
At first I was dissappointed there wasn't more action but as it went on I began to appreciate the episode.
I thought the writers did a great job of showing how the groups had similar roles with Rick/Gov, Herschel/Milton and Daryl/Caeser. I loved how each combatant found simililarities with their counterpart (though any similarity Rick found with the Gov would be fake, because that dude [the Gov] is as unauthentic as they come). And to keep complete balance, you have Andrea still playing the middle and conflicted on which way to go. Now this is the part I don't get...after all she's discovered about the Gov, why would she still stay with that group? |

It was good to see Rick see through such BS from the Gov. I was also glad to see the direction they seem to be taking with Tyrone.
On another note: When are they gonna come across a Cigar store, hole up for a few minutes as the Zombies pass by, and then hoof it outta there with a couple of boxes for later? |

Governor is going down and it's going to be the guy with one arm. Could also be the black girl; either one would be awesome. They need to keep her around as she is a zombie killing machine! |

Pffft, no way, Tom...she had the perfect chance and couldn't do it. She has always complained that everyone
thinks she is WEAK, always stuggling for respect, and it turns out she IS weak. Now, all that said, it IS the zombie apocalypse and all, so I will allow her a bit of weakness and fear. |

It'll be Carl. :r

Re: Walking Dead Season 3
Milton takes out the Gov. Becomes the most beloved Mayor of Woodbury, ever. (Post Apocalypse, your results may vary.)

Re: Walking Dead Season 3
I am thinking that Milton is secretly NOT gay and is secretly in love with Andrea. Coupled with his hatred of
being controlled and belittled by the Governor, I see that as a distinct possibility as well. But what do I know? Until I can get Epi. 14 recorded and burned to DVD, I will not even know what happened in Epi. 13. |
Re: Walking Dead Season 3
I have to agree this episode was lackluster, I was shocked to see the Gov come out of the shadows to meet Rick. Kudos to Rick for not playing into the Gov's BS.
Gotta love that little smile from the Gov Rick should have killed the Gov when he hung up his guns I seriously thought something was going to happen when Maggie & Glenn were :xxx Milton's John Ritter in Sling Blade ass has got to go, but I think he is starting to see through the Gov's BS too. Time will tell.....that was episode 13, how many more do we have left? |

Sorry about that, Pete, THAT WAS a leap and a sexist one at that. There are no revelatory scenes with Milton
at a rest area bathroom or anything. I apologize for my statement. I guess I would re-categorize him as a sexually-repressed poindexter on the verge of unleashing some pent up authority rage. I still don't think it will be him....or wait....maybe that IS the proper asessment after all. I change my vote from weak Andrea to repressed Milton. |

The entire situation above would not even exist if Rick and Gov didn't just open up some whoopazz and be done with it. Someone commented here weeks ago, that hopefully they wouldn't milk the situation for all it's worth. Since "Prison vs Woodbury" was going on at the end of last season, after 3 episodes into season four, apparently that is going to be so. TWD is still fun to watch. This episode was slightly disappointing in my book.. I say Gov dead in 3 weeks.... |

That was a boring episode. I fell asleep during it on Sunday and had to go back and finish it up last night :(

Re: Walking Dead Season 3
The first, second, and last I could easily attribute to living around psychotic people and other former humans that want to eat me. The third I could easily attribute to his disgust and personal judgement of Andrea being a Ho-bag. I think I need to call this into Talking Dead. Fascinating character insight, and all that.

It's become too much family drama and losing the zombie apocolypse that hooked me in the first place. If the next 3 episodes are not redeeming quality, then I will have wasted my time with this whole half season after that wait. If they need to cut it to 10 episodes or less to cut out the boring parts and filler, then AMC please do so. Season 1 (6 episodes) > Season 2 (12 episodes) > Season 3 (16 episodes) Hope I don't derail the thread, but anyone watch Spartacus? This season has had me on the edge of my seat - Excellent so far. |
Re: Walking Dead Season 3
I think the action will pick-up in the last couple of episodes.
The family drama stuff is wearing on me too. Thanks goodness Laurie's gone! |

I honestly think that the show would be better killing off all the characters except Merle and Daryl.

Re: Walking Dead Season 3
SPOILER ALERT IF YOU DID NOT WATCH LAST NIGHT DO NOT READ
Ahh the Goverenor. ........ Survives initial violent argument with Michonne. Survives initial attack on his compound where he was the main target. Survives knife attack that results in a devastating stabbing to the eye but not the brain. Weapon used in the assault was a three foot long Samarai sword. Survives after Amanda approaches him in his sleep to stab him in the jugular, when she suddenly forgets why she approached him in bed with knife in hand. Survives after he drives up with accomplices for revenge attack at prison compound. Unbeknownst to him, Rick is actually outside the compound, armed, in high grass with a scoped rifle. Rick inexplicably immediately gives up his position, and his gun jams. Survives " peace meeting" with Rick Survives after preparing the " torture room" while Amanda, in hiding, is pointing a pistol at his head, but does not fire. Survives after Amanda locks him in a corridor with 40 zombies at the abandoned warehouse. It's getting old... but I still watch....... |
Re: Walking Dead Season 3
Angela, not Amanda.
And yes, I can honestly say that last night was the first time I have ever been frustrated with this series. Two weeks in a row where essentially NOTHING happened. I'm sure something will before the end of the season, but come on...They are just stalling in a BIG way. |
Re: Walking Dead Season 3
Another stupid episode. :(

Interesting how the cast lately can now effortlessly dispatch walking dead zombies to the grave with a pen knife, or nearby items of opportunity such as a hook. Soon I expect as much as a simple stern look will terminate the zombie, " as long as it's to the head". Meanwhile the living, breathing, humans continually find it increasingly difficult to kill their mortal enemies in a fully armed and lawless society, no matter how many incredible opportunities are given. :sl Not sure if anybody besides me is starting to see the " Dr. Smith" or " Gilligan Island Syndrome" here. But the writers are milking this one dry. :r |

I saw all this coming many weeks ago. This BS is just another Greene Family Farm device.
Its LOST 2.0. But I WILL continue to watch, because how I view important shows has changed since LOST. I can download them and watch them when and if I feel like it. Lost, I had to be there each night, in the chair. |
Re: Walking Dead Season 3
I didn't mind last nights episode. No way the Gov survices 20 zombies coming at him...especially when he ran out of bullets. Now Andrea gets to see "the dentist". And the Milton torched them "biters"...waiting to see what the Gov will do. Interesting.

I am going to watch 13 an 14 tonight for the first time. Should be good to catch up on all the stuff you guys
have already mentioned, although excitement for a lame show is hard to generate. i guess I will see if it was lame or not. |

I am sitting around waiting for a meeting to start that starts freaking 2 hours after I am normally leaving
for home. SO I am bored. And so is ROCKY. This is Michael Rooker's brother, (Merle to you all). He is killing some time playing the machines the boss has in the building I am in. Rich boss likes to buy toys. |

That episode sucked! Here's hoping the season finale has been worth 2 sh!!ty episodes in a row.

I loved last nights show. Really setting it up for the showdown next week. And either Darryl is gonna kick some serious or go off on his own. I hope he kicks some Woodbury tail.
